I totally agree with you. Matter of fact I was just talking about the same thing yesturday. At work we have to go stand fifty feet away from the building in the cold ass wind just because a law saying it's harmfull or something. There are so many other things that are harmfull. And it doesnt make sense sense to me because people who don't smoke generally don't stand outside for no reason, especially in a area where people smoke. All the things that go on in the world and they actually had cops circling around the building to make sure that no one was smoking within 50 feet of the building!!

    Ummm..I smoked for twenty years.
I provide a nice space on my porch, complete with ashtray, & chair for smokers.
I could care less what you do with your health, your body, or your habits..I just don't want my place to be stinky or yellow.

I think if it's legal to buy them, they ought to provide a legal place to smoke them. No matter the venue.

Yep, i realise there are those other things too, thank you. I also realise that that doesnt make smoking any more right

It has no positive value at all and harms anyone within breathing distance. Truly, its vile, and so unnecessary. Whats more, its a waste of money which could be spent on good causes

They did here! Cops were watching at my work place to make sure we didn't smoke outside!! I know better that on a Friday night there has to be more important things to be taken care of then to watch and see if someone is smoking. That's so lame.

I only smoke pipe and cigar because I like the smell of them, I wont touch cigarettes and I dont inhale. I have been smoking pipe and cigars for three years now and I dont have an adiction to them. I can go as long as I want without smoking and have no withraw symptoms. Im just an occasional pipe and cigar smoker. I was first turned on to them at a young age when I would go and visit an older neighbor, I just loved the smell of his pipe smoking, always loved going in his home. High quality pipe and cigar has so much of a different smell than cigarettes, dont get me wrong though im not knocking any kind of smokers.:sunglasse

In New York City you cant even smoke in a public park or at the beach.

Geeze, pretty soon you won't even be able to smoke bud anymore!

Yeah, those are the types that im getting at to. I mean I dont have a problem at all with non smokers. It's the ones that blowup in your face all the time about it that im getting at, The ones that try to forcefully cram there ideals down your throat striping your freedom of choice.

I mean if I go to somebody elses house and they dont alow smoking then I wont smoke out of respect for them and there property, but on my property I reserve the right to smoke if I want to.:sunglasse

Anybody should be allowed to do whatever they want on there own personal property though, it's called freedom of choice.

As of right now, my own hometown is trying to pass an ordnance that if they catch you smoking in your yard you can get a ticket. Maybe these types of things havent hit other places yet but give it time.

I hope stuff like this never passes.

Yeah, in their own property, as long as there arent children in there

I was raised in smoke. My mum smoked from when i was 0-17(when i moved out) in the house. She refused to walk to the door or blow it out of a window. And i still get chesty coughs a little too often, and am pretty sure my insides are greyer than those of someone my age who was raised without that pollution

Othrwise, yeah, go for it. Smoke in your house. I dont care

Im pretty sure science says you are either very lucky or simply cant feel it yet...

My mum smoked those particularly nasty ones called "More" (basically means More Harm to You and Others) ...Anyway all the experiementation and research has been done, passive smoking is extremely harmful, especially to very small children

I just simply cannot agree with pushing ill health onto defensless youngersters who have no alternative.

Like i said though, adults are a different story

I agree 100 percent and respect your right to not have your place stained up. Me I sleep and relax better in a stained up old cabin type place that smells of smoke than a nice perfectly clean house for some reason. Everybody though has the right to have there property and there way of life the way they like it. I really judge nobody but me, give me that old stained up cabin or woodshed type of a place, my smokes and a little whiskey and im all set.

I love native Americans too, like tee pees and wigwams and the peace pipe and the clothing they wore and there basic way of life. If Im correct they are the ones that introduced us to tobacco.

Everybody handles it differently, ive heard of some that are actually ellergic to it. It that way with everything though, some people cant handle certain foods or chemicals either while others can, Everybodies system is different. As long as non smokers respect my right to smoke on my own property or where it's allowed I will likewise show respect to them by putting it out if they are around me and they ask nicely. Thats the type of person I am.

I would also like to mention to that the test on second hand smoke was thrown out by the supreame court. The test were non conclusive. There is no conclusive evidence that second hand smoke causes harm to others. This bullcrap was brought about by the antismoking legislation. It was just something they used to put a scare into people to control the tobacco companies and what people can do with there lives.
