Compared to men, not particularly hard. I don't remember any revolutions or wars fought for women's suffrage.

haha I know a million of them.

"How do you turn your dishwasher into a snowblower? Give her a shovel"

"How many women does it take to change a light bulb? They won't do it, they'd rather sit around and bitch about the dark."

On the anniversary issue, you should have seen the shit I got into one year for not knowing it was Valentine's Day.

i suck at remembering "important dates." i mean, if it's not my kids' birthdays, don't expect me to remember. thankfully dave doesn't mind. i forgot my own 30th birthday. my MIL called me the day after, i felt like an idiot.

why did got create men? because i vibrator can't mow the lawn. (it's my favorite, the only one i can remember.)

Respected author and feminist moderate, Doris Lessing say she has become increasingly shocked at the "automatic rubbishing of men, which is now so part of our culture that it is hardly even noticed". "Feminism has achieved much for women, but why did this have to be at the cost of men" she asked.

"We have many wonderful, clever, powerful women everywhere, but what is happening to men?"

"I was in a class of nine and 10-year-olds, girls and boys, and this young woman was telling these kids that the reason for wars was the innately violent nature of men", she said.

"You could see the little girls, fat with complacency and conceit while the little boys sat there crumpled, apologising for their existence, thinking this was going to be the pattern of their lives".

"This kind of thing is happening in schools all over the place and no one says a thing."

"It is time we began to ask who are these women who continually rubbish men?..... Men seem to be so cowed that they can't fight back, and it is time they did", Lessing said.

Famous American author, Dr. Laura Schlessinger, devotes a chapter of her new book Woman Power: Transform Your Man, Your Marriage, Your Life to male-bashing and anti-male campaigns. She notes: "The brainwashing of women to feel hostile toward men begins in subtle and no-so-subtle ways, from the time they are little girls."

I do notice that many things with associations of maleness e.g. sports, industry, etc. are seemingly considered suspect or at best foolish.

I do wonder how men will express their masculinity in twenty years time as we seem to be losing the options we had in the past but not replacing them with anything. it seems that men and increasingly young boys are expected to live in a gender neutral way or be prepared to apologise for it and reassure those around them that they're not bad people.

there's not many ways for men to be men without someone giving them shit about it, there's n doubt about that. and i have three brothers, a husband and a beloved stepfather and more male friends than female. do you think i like to see them bashed? of course not. but lashing back out with pettiness and petulance isn't going to remind anyone that you deserve respect.

Feminism needn't be at the cost of men, and I wouldn't give a woman the time of day if she would attempt to emasculate me, but I agree it happens. Sexism ends where mutual respect begins.

What do you call the useless piece of skin at the end of a penis?
    A man.

Next time I think of getting married again, I'm gonna save myself some time, find a woman I don't like, and give her a house.

    how about something more unisex?

    why are divorces so expensive?
    because they're worth it.

I hate how men get shit for being sensitive or caring, because I like that in a man. Everyone should live and let live, as long as it hurts none.

yeah we can get it from all sides some times, if you're a young lad I can guess how you might be unable to do anything cos there's no 'right' way to be any more.

Right on, I love Dr. Laura. I got her audio CD 'The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands'. It made me appreciate all of the masculine things Andy does for me that I never have to worry about. I never have to take the trash out of mow the lawn or walk the dog or pick up the dog 'mess'. Not that I wouldn't do any of these things (except mowing the lawn...I have horrible allergies), but they are done before I even think to do them. I never have to worry about money because he pays all of the bills. He tells me how attractive ZI am . Tucks me in everynight that I go to bed earlier than him. I appreciated him before, butappreciate him so much more now that I realize all that he does for me, our dog and the house. And all I have to do in return to maintan that love is love him back, submit to him and fall in his arms evernight. Pretty good deal eh?
    But anywho Dr. Laura rocks.
This woman at work last week called me a spoiled military wife...she said ti to offend me...I smiled at her and said 'you're damn right'.

Dr Laura sounds like she's got it goin' on. I can see where sexism is conditioned at an early age, having seen what my kids go through at school. When he was little, our son was persecuted by one of his teachers for boy energy, I'm sure they would've pumped him full of riddlin if they could've. Meanwhile, our daughter can do no wrong, we're just trying to make sure she doesn't fall into the princess mentality. As a toddler she can crap in the woods, that's a start.

Meanwhile, I'm diggin' this equality thang. We call it the mutual admiration society, basically comes down to the golden rule. We give each other our freedom and hence we're both maximally happy, it's win-win. I think the biggest problem is the power play where both people try to get the upper hand, doesn't seem real productive.

Drunkers?! Gets me in trouble when I do that. Good disclaimer though, I need to use that one next time...
