no, i wasn't thinking anything that flattering. i was thinking that women have rarely achieved real power. they have achieved symbolic posts, but they have rarely made the actual decisions. true of alot of male 'leaders' also, by the way. but many women who've run for office have been accused of not being "tough enough" for the "dirty jobs" and therefore not fit for leadership. i've heard that one many times in my lifetime. you are really good at jumping to conclusions though.

With that said, elizabeth was a tough ruler, so was tatcher and so was Indira Gandhi. Heck, if you lived in 1970s India and you said anything about Indira gandhi you would be dead... she was that powerful.

But the point i was trying to make with my sarcasm was that when you try to categorize things like leadership, competency , intelligence based on gender, then you are guilty of sexism and mostly the anti-male bias today tries to do this sort of classification and you did it in this thread.

we do live in the age of teh intawebz, but that doesn't forego what life experience gives us. one could have all the book knowledge in the world, but i'd take the person with life experience over him in most cases (ex - i dont' want a book smart strength and conditioning coach in his mid 20's saying he's the best trainer because he has read all the best books - i'd rather take the guy whose trained athletes for 15-20+ years, that kept up with continually learning more as time went by - he may not be as smart as the mid 20's guy in terms of books smarts and thats perfectly fien with me)

They're playing the card our "justice" system gave them. Any time there's an adversarial relationship, you can bet some scum bag's gonna profit on it. Our court system is rigged to provide the maximal profit for lawyers. That's why it's set up to soak the guy, because in today's society a lot of women are materialistic and vindictive. However, it's our responsibility as men to avoid those types of women.

Our legal system is a decade or two behind the times when it comes to men's versus women's rights. Twenty years ago dead beat dads could get away with it, now women get everything. In a decade or two we may find that the legal system reflects what our current culture dictates...

...unless the lawyers find that it profits them the most to keep things as they are, then we're screwed...
