I wonder if we could have pro-pot commercials or pro-truth commercials on tv. Some channel that's pretty cool about it, like G4 or maybe comedy central.
^^^ d00d that is exactly what i've been desiring since i first saw an anti-pot commercial. there has to be someway to get a television station to run a propot commercial... "alcohol kills over 125000 people a year.... cigarettes kill over 350000.... marijuana... over the past 5000 years... has never been the cause of a single death... think about it...." [norml logo or some such sht]
Hows this? "Have a headache? Think twice before you reach for that little bottle of death you people call 'asprin'. What would you think if we told you that asprin, the so called 'harmless' medicine, wasn't harmless at all? Killing literally tens of people a year, asprin surpasses the extremely deadly drug 'marijuana' for casualties. Tens? TENS? What kind of idiot are you? Next time your friend offers you asprin, dont give in to peer pressure, tell him to go to hell!"
"Yesterday my friends told me smoke marijuana so I did.. Today they told me to eat my hand so I did (Abovetheinfluence.com)" heres my version "Yesterday my friends made me try marijuana and I liked it.. Today I am a more free spirit, creative, happy person" man if u gonna give into peer pressure dun fuckin blame the peers.. blame ur dumass self for getting into sumtin u wont handle. Point being that if your stupid enough to go to the nurse n tellem ur now retarted cuz u smoked weed then I have a shotty n 3 shells for you to try. my friend
I stand up for myself when Im high, toherwise I just dont care... I ate my hand when I was sober and I ran from a dog sober too
And come on, the whole "peer pressure" thing is bullshit. The truth is that there is no such thing as "negative" or "positive" pressure. You could even go so far as to say there is no such thing as pressure. The way I see it there is just information, and the particular person just decides for himself based on the infortmation given to him. The information just influences the decision. That's the "pressure" part. But, in the case of marijuana, the anti-marijuana side of the argument has succeeded in flooding almost everywhere people go for information with only anti-marijuana information, even to the point where they can make people believe that all pro-marijuana information is bad information, "peer pressure".
well youll have some troubles percieving teh world if you dont believe in pressure. its a fundamental principle of human psychology - people have an urge to fit in, to relate to their peers, to live up to peer standards. even thought people can fight that urge, its still there. its not information. information is generally void with pressure. peers tell you to smoke caus its cool, government tells you to smoke caus its bad. theres no objective information involved with these processes.
i think anyone against weed is ok but fcuktards that have to make a really bid deal of it eg- protests etc are just fcuking morons- argh....... they just p*ss me off so much, i bet the dumfcuks havent even tried it seriously i you dont like suming its cool but dont be a di*khead and ruin it for others with your dumn nagging so yeah. ^ soz if i ruined the good mood and everything but when someone starts going on about them idiots against weed i just feel i have to say this. i mean seriously instead of spending all that time talking crap about it why not just spark a bowl and chill seriously
this shit reminds me of the matrix movie........ the outside world we live in is anti-weed... while the real world is pro-weed
Yes, true, but I just hate it how pro-weed pressure gets labeled as bad with the whole "peer pressure" thing, even though there is just as much or more pressure promoting the anti-weed cause. The funny part is in most cases you can rely on your peers better than anyone else. And it just makes me mad that while there is pressure coming from both sides, most people only see the "peer pressure" side. But if you think about it, it is clear that it isn't a matter of either succumbing to pressure or avoiding it, it is just the person stuck between two equal (or unequal) pressures, and usually ends in the person's decision between which pressure to succumb to.
I always wonder if "peer pressure" isn't something that those who are anti-drugs made up to make the truth others tell us sound bad... there IS objective information, it's just very to separate from the rest. Honestly, I have never met anyone who tried any drug to seem "cool." It's just curiousity man, and I really think those anti-drug commercials are making it worse. Example: My school just got a lecture today about the "dangers of alcohol" because prom is this weekend. What did this lecture accomplish? Everyone is PYSCHED to get wasted this weekend. Trying to brainwash people only makes it worse...
