What movie did you recently watch and liked?

 

I'm a cube rat. I used to program computers and make cool stuff happen on them. Now I mostly figure out what if any cool stuff should be done and I get somebody else to do it. And sometimes I help them figure out how if they're having trouble with it. And I figure out which cool stuff is most important and should happen first. And sometimes I write emails and tell people that the cool stuff they want is already available somewhere else. And sometimes I tell people there's just not enough money to do anything as cool as what they want, and ask if they'll settle for less coolness.

How many languages do you know, and what are they, and how well do you know them?

 

I know 3 languages!

French - First language.
English - Fluent.
Spanish - Basics (learning).

Which do you prefer more; books or movies?

 

I prefer books more, but that's not to say I don't watch a lot of movies... The books I read involve deep philosophical concepts and my rationing can only take so much of a beating..

Would you prefer to skydive, bungey jump, hanglide, base jump, and why!

 

i would prefer to hang glide... it is something i have always wanted to do, and i am not aloud to do any of the others for health reasons... (scar tissue around my heart)

have you ever had to hide from someone?... please explain...

 

In a way, I suppose - when my stepdaughter was a teen she was violently psychotic for a few months, and she had it in for me because I was a hated authority. I had to stay away from her when she got bad, because I was afraid I would lose my temper and say something the state social services would give me hell about, so lots of times I would go out for a walk or lock myself in my room. One time my wife and I were locked in our room talking in low voices about how to handle her, and she found a hammer and broke a hole in the door so she could break in and keep us from talking about her. Another time she stood at the door pounding and yelling at me for about 30 minutes - this was after I hid the hammer and screwed a sheet of plywood to the outside of the door. And etc - I had lots of adventures with her...

Has anyone ever tried to hide from you? Please explain....

 

yes... i once had a violent boyfriend who was not supposed to be bothering me again, hiding in a wardrobe in my flat... he jumped out once everyone else had left and i was on my own... luckily my daughter wasn't there either, and i was able to get him out of the flat by talking to him very carefully.... i then moved very quickly after that...
