I think Anonymous is pissing in the wrong yard. The us government is not one for restraint and has unlimited resources, time and money to stamp out any domestic threat. I worry about this all ending badly someday with members of anon disappearing in the middle of the night. I wish Anon the best and have pledged to not buy anything in March in support.

Anonymous kids have been v& (white van, feds knocking on your door) you just don't hear about it. Once again its not a group with a compiled list of actual members, you can be anonymous if you want to. It's just a pseudonymous label

^ Funny, I don't do these things in ANY month. That said, I wish there were a way for them to differentiate between big media and small. Continue to support the arts that do NOT produce "economic reports".

Yeah, well this really doesn't seem to be a real Anonymous op.

Anonymous has always been a champion of Free Speech. I've rarely seen their agenda change from that. Declaring war on a gov't seems beyond their scope.

Other than attacking gov't websites with DDOS, there's not a lot in their "arsenal" to really hurt the US gov't.

However if they could dig up dirt on various people in the gov't who aren't serving the needs of the people...and who are bringing forward all of these anti-privacy bills, then their agenda (and the people) would be served, imo.

This it's what's so scary about NDAA. The government has labelled Annon as a "terrorist organization." They can pick ANYONE off the street, and claim them to be a part of Annon, and lock them up. And no one can prove that they're not Annon, because it's not an actual group. But I guess it doesnt matter if you could prove it.....because you won't get the chance.

    ^^^ This ^^^

Even if they had to show proof of some kind it would be easy for them to download something onto your system, change dates an suddenly you're a "Terrorist hacker"

I am curious of Anonymous involvement in the leaked Stratfor emails. There is some interesting stuff in there. Even Rolling Stone published an article about the sealed indictment of Assange. IMO that's how Anonymous should operate and not by getting kids in Latin America busted for using LOIC to lag out a web server for a few minutes.

Totally agree, but there are only a select few of black hats in the anonymous collective. Security specialists who work with select groups like #LulzSec & #AntiSec

The kids using LOIC are just trying to help, same thing happened with MegaUpload; a lot of unprotected (as loosely as that's used) anons went headstrong taking down FBI.gov & most of them were using their native I.P

I'm betting that Anonymous actually didn't hack this information, but that a disgruntled employee stole the information from their servers and provided it to anonymous, who then got it to wikileaks. That's the beautiful thing about the assholish nature of these type of shady enterprises - it's a breeding ground for pissed off employees. The irony is a beautiful thing to behold - corporate culture is so dehumanizing and corrupt that it's own participants will undermine it.

They hacked stratfor months ago, its only in recent events that WikiLeaks started to publish the info that they collected. When it was first announced stratfor said that anonymous only collected user data let alone all the GIfiles

The Vatican were touching boys long before they had a website so I am sure they survived.

Democracy is in the streets and with those that embrace the attitude of "by any means necessary. "

    Anything less is a lie.
    Anything less is an illusion.
    Anything less is cowardice.

Over 200 years ago, the French recognized the need to destroy the government in order to rebuild it. I've been predicting for several years now that this phenomenon would occur in the US. Time to plan for imminent bug-out!

I can feel this undercurrent about to swell and bubble to the surface. I have for a while now.
