I was the first to vote bitches and I said yes. The more we have an opportunity to criticize their flawed logic and their failed methods, the more hope there is for humanity in general. I also believe in free speech.

I voted for "keep it but ban the Anon trolls".

For now, there is a flag of caution here in my view. Some of them have claimed to be culling personal data and information about members here, have threatened people, mocked people to "GTFO, STFU, Tits or go home, and told to Lurk moar".

It's not a very civil way of wanting to continue to post at these Forums.

Sure, they're not familiar with the rules and guidelines, but in their view, some of them have overtly expressed that they make their own rules and work as a hive to accomplish something - like a machine with no brain.

It's sort of the Bull in the China shop mentality that I find to be pervasive alongside most of the underlying attitudes and groovy atmosphere here at HF that conflicts with the manner in which they enjoy conducting their affairs.

They say it themselves, they'll do anything to get a laugh - even betray people and chan-chan insults.

I'm okay with testing the waters I guess, but I hope the entire flock of them don't stay very long.

 

Banning is for hippies, communists and Americans.

 

I vote to keep them...and ban the troublemakers as they pop up..
They'll settle down eventually

and if it gets too out of hand..then delete everything

the "culling of personal data" is part of the internet...people should not post personal information

i voted to get rid of it.. i dont think they deserve there own private sanctuary..

i have spent a great deal of time going through there information,facts etc. and i just dont think they warrant their own lil private idaho..

it just serves to stroke there self serving egos even more..

I dunno. I just don't want our site get clusterfucked and over-run by this group of people who like to talk loudly about their little message.

I still don't know enough about them to decide fully just yet.

i know ALL i want to know.. i gave it a chance,i forced myself to spend a couple hours watching videos on the subject,some of their protests,all of that beard guys youtube page..

i truly tried to find a reason to appreciate what they are doing and why..
i walked away even more disenfranchised with the whole thing than i was before..

i find it all so laughable that im hesitant to go any farther because ive had just about enough of those yahoos trying to justify what they are to me..

I voted yes out right but i honestly think whatever Skip chooses he is going to choose for a good reason. I didnt vote for the "ban the trolls" option because that is a part of who they are, i think as far as the trolling goes it should only be a ban once it genuinly makes the site worse and only after a warning.

I personally know of a member here who have referenced themselves as being Anon long before the invasion and their posts have been well written and well thought out as well as being very polite, but this is only one poster.

I'm not saying we should all become anon and make this an anon forum but i think if all goes well not only do we have a lot to offer them but they may have something to offer us. I would never take an Anon on face value but i have enjoyed their posts even when i can see the misdirection.

I think if they can learn to accept our M.O. and we accept theirs everything will be fine.
