wow really, i was wondering my cat was acting funny last night but i figured it was cause the meat i gave her or something. i had my shrooms stashed on top of my cpu box but under my desk, and went to look for them one night and they were on the ground instead, and the bag had started to open, and my kitten did basically the same things yours did, to a very lesser extent, chasing things that werent there, running all over my room jumping up and all around my bed very quickly, and being very hyper and excited overall.

thats cool how you did that experiment though

A friend of mine in Wilmington, NC ended up losing 14 hits of acid to his cat once upon a time... man... it sucked for him, but he said the cat was off in outter space the rest of her life. She was crazy as shit when I saw her (about a week or so after he lost his cid), and she just died about a year later in a car accident, but she had a kitten that was named Tweak 'cause he always looked tweaked out. Same symptoms as what was described earlier, but there is no doubt in my mind that the poor cat has done more drugs than most people on this site, knowing those people out there. I don't think they ever did anything intentionally other than blow some smoke in the cat's face to calm it down a bit, but man... that is one STRANGE cat from a MUCH stranger mama!

Thats definitely mean...I was watching my parents dog once and it ate a fair amount of hash...I'm not sure if it was my imagination or not, but he was acting REALLY weird. I tried to give him a bone and he just stood there looking at me with the bone in his mouth like he forgot what to do with it.

    It made me pretty panicky.

reference? There is no source of reference for this particular example other than from my own personal notes as I witnessed and oversaw the entire process. I could refer you to the rest of my notes on the matter, however, I have yet to publish my findings anywhere else.

If you really want some information about how animals react there is a whole book about the topic called Animals and Psychedelics by Giorgio Samorini.

My friends made this weekend a cat stoned for 3 or 4 times ....the cat was really nervous ....it´s tail went around and around ... he aet like crazy and tried to bite and scratch people it was really fun to watch the cat ...but I really think that giving drugs to animals is really sick and twisted thing to do

Giving drugs to animals is only sick and twisted if the animal obviously does not enjoy it and even tries to hurt itself and others such as the cat you talked about. Some animals love to get fucked up. In fact, my best friends boyfriend feeds his cat schwag and the cat absolutely loves it. He will even put the food bowl where the cat can barely reach it and the cat will use his paws to pull it out from the hiding spot. If an animal doesn't respond well the first time and hated its experience (i.e. you force it on them) then yes you can consider it animal abuse. But to say that giving drugs to animals is flat out sick and twisted then you are very narrow minded.

Animals don't even seem to need it. They get off on the vibes. In 1970, I had a Sunday morning job washing cows on a dairy farm, and once when I showed up tripping, the cows seemed to be kicking up more of a ruckus than usual. At the end of one side of the barn, a calf was kept in a separate pen. As I passed it, I could have sworn it said, "Oh wow!"

They were not only given LSD, but also nicotine, caffeine and thc.
What really surprises me, is that caffeine had the most disturbing effect on the ability to contruct the webs.

    Recommended book on the topic:

"Drugs - the search for the artificial paradise" (or something like that; I don´t know the exact original title, have only read it in german...) by Ronald K. Siegel.

It contains lots of reports how animals use drugs for special purposes.
Tons of interesting info (or did you for example know, that the terminus "Dream Factory" as a synonyme for "Hollywood" refers to the fact, that native indians in this area watched birds eating berries of the holy and getting high from it, then tried it themselves and named the holy-woods "the place where dreams come true"?).

one of my cats goes crazy if i get her high i'll get her high then give her cat nip and she starts rolling around drooling all over her self, it's kind of nasty but it cracks me up... and she always gets cotton mouth and she'll freak until i give her water... but i'd be too afraid to give my cats anything to trip off of cause if something happened i would hate myself forever...

I remember reading about some wild grass that contains DMT, and how these horses were eating them and becoming incredibly stupid.
