Jesus would be proud of me. In the same way a father would be proud of his son. To speak from the inner self, as opposed to "learned" behavior. Do not make the mistake of thinking that I am a product of ego. The ego is used only as a vehicle to convey the message. It will have inherent flaws as all human egos do, and certainly my own. Don't shoot the messenger in other words. Pay attention to the message. It is as timeless as humanity itself. x
Beliefs are much like rivers, they all lead to the same body of water at some point. Let's pretend that I prefer the the larger body of water as opposed to one of the rivers. I can travel upriver to meet you if I want to, but I'd much rather you seek me where I am. Besides, you're gonna love the view. Now if you'll excuse me, its almost time for Antiques Roadshow on the telly. x
Interesting points X. Very Deep. I am very open minded... I'd like to know more about the frame work supporting your points ... If I get what your saying correctly ... Our goal is to emulate Jesus to the best of our ability. That is what I conclude from any Christian teaching... therefor, if we forget the main stream delusion that we are all sinners and reactions of HUMILITY and GUILT and so forth and actually start using CONVICTION to truly attempt this said emulation... Well... lol... That opens up a whole new world of possibilities doesn't it? If this is the philosophy behind your ideology then I'm right there with you... I try to live my life with a delicate balance of this said "Conviction" and "Humility" ... I agree with you it is possible for Anyone to have the Christ Consciousness... but I mean... dood you have to agree... that takes one AMAZING will, tenacity, courage, and so forth. the world is the world man. It's full of temptations to draw you away from all these things... :S... FIRST AND FOREMOST OUR SURVIVAL... by this of course i mean MONEY ... :S sighs. Either way it's good food for thought my friend.
What power does the world have over you that you do not give it? It only takes will in the beginning. Later, as you've progressed down your own path, the attraction itself will leave you. There is no temptation because there is no desire. Unless you roast the seeds of desire, you will always prone to temptation. You do this by the realization that everything is you. What can you desire that you don't already own? Desire belongs to the personal "I". Your human identity. When your soul realizes it was only playing the part of a beggar, it gladly walks away from the part, because as king, you already own what you wanted so badly as a beggar. The desire vanishes. Angels and such, are just signposts along the way. You see them as you need to, based upon belief. x
i believe there is a Jewish story about this. God created man and commanded all the angels to bow down to him, for he WAS superior. We are in the image of God, we create and destroy, and we posess free will. Apparently, this is their explaination of how Satan was cast out of heaven, he refused to bow down to man and warred with God. But this is contradictory. If angels do not have free will, how could satan make the choice to go against God?
Satan is symbolic of your own mind and it's addiction to the world it has created around you. This world is ruled by Satan. Ever heard that? Everything outside of this world is God, in the religious sense. The same power that creates creation has also created this little soapbubble inside which you now call home. Thin walled, but tough. To enter the kingdom, one pops this bubble. x
As the mind is a creator itself, it creates Satan as well. He's as real as that chair you're sitting in, but he's only endowed with as much power as you wish to give him. We humans are fond of sticking faces on forces we don't understand, so that we might. Same applies to gods, demons, and angels. Its not that they don't exist, because you create them yourself, but your creative powers are limited to this world only. (Because the mind is limited to this world only) All these religious stories of wars between angels and demons are for the sake of understanding the overpowering attraction you have for this world you've created, vs the real world outside of it. Its hard to break this addiction. Religions are well meaning attempts to do so. x
I believe 100% in angels, simply put angels are faithful men and women who have lived on earth already or who have yet to live on earth. Gabriel (noah) visited the earth as an angel in the new testament. Cool stuff though. Oh and they don't have wings sadly =(
