all you are saying is that some cops and some people might take this to mean that all pot smokers are worth hating. all that says is that you think our society is full of prejudice assholes. i am not saying i dont agree with you - there are a lot of prejudice assholes but lets not let them ruin it for the rest of us. i am sure that there are many cops looking for a reason to beat up a pot head but like i said they are looking for reasons and they will find them whether or not their car gets bombed with green stuff.

i am NOT suggesting vandalism and the actions of a few do not reflect the attitudes of the rest of the pot smokers - i realize that none of you have really said anything that i havent already thought of.

have you ever given the finger to someone or told someone to fuck off knowing full well that you were only going to piss them off by doing it? of course you have. a lot of times in these cases the person gets told to fuck off by so many different people that they stop getting pissed off and realize that something must be wrong with them. not all wake up but it sure worth the effort even if they do 'hate you for it'.

Why are you so sure cops are looking for a reason to beat up potheads? I would say that cops don't give a crap about beating up potheads because they have so much other shit to worry about.

But that's just it. Society will think that all pot smokers act this way. It is indeed vandalism and everyone that may have thought indifferently on the subject will think pot smokers are vandals. The people that thought pot smokers were horrible will think worse about them. It accomplishes nothing accept bad things for your cause. A peaceful protest would be much more accomplishing, IMO. Look what it did for Ghandi and MLK Jr.

I don't believe this at all. I think the person just gets more hateful and despises everyone more. Even if it did happen the way you think it would, why bother to convince a few people and end up pissing off a bunch of people? A peaceful protest would most likely convince more people than it would piss off.

what are you guys so scared of? do you think they will make the laws worse - if they did that there would be riots. this idea is a harmless protest. you are all over reacting and in a strange way you are condoning societies prejudice by accepting it as just the way it is.

nobody except for the pot heads care about peaceful protests or gatherings. it is great for the vibe and unity between fellow pot smokers. what i mean is - i care about pot gatherings, i have been to a few... but only the pot smokers cared about what was going on - the ones on the other side of the fence could care less if they even knew it was going on.

i realize that a lot of people would get the wrong idea about pot smokers in general. - i think that this would be like waking up a monster so that everyone can see what we are dealing with. if a silly prank was able to bring out the worst in people then so be it - hopefully there are enough enlightened people around to see it clearly and rise up above it all.

if shit got out of hand (which i doubt that it would), it would actually bring us all together for the first time in a long time.

why would something that does not cause any damage be called vandalism?

But society would think pot smokers are vandals. You don't seem to understand that society already looks down on pot smokers, so by doing something to anger people they just have more of a reason to hate us. This happens with nearly all non-peaceful protests...why would you think it would be any different for you?

Really...so no one cared about Ghandi or MLK Jr.? That's why they were such a sucess? The problem with peaceful protests today is they aren't organized enough and people desperse too quickly when the cops arrive. If you really want a peaceful protest to work then you have to realize you will most likely be arrested and beaten, but you still need to hold your ground. Also, you have to make sure there is a large media presence so your oppinion is heard by the nation.

It does cause damage. Temporary damage to the aesthetics of the car from the paint being on the car (jus tlike grafitti on a wall) and I'm sure some paint would fuck up the engine or another part of the car as well.

You can go right ahead and do this "protest" if you want too, tell us how it goes. Or better yet, I'll watch on the new when you are arrested and everyone turns on us stoners because of what you did.

i changed my idea from paint - to a green goo that is very difficult to wash off... this would not cause any damage.

i realized that the paint thing could be considered vandalism if they couldnt wash it all off.

you are condoning societies prejudice when you say that society will view all pot heads as vandals.

not all of society will feel this way. you are wrong for saying that society will feel a certain way when not everyone will agree. you are generalizing and siding with the prejudice.

I did indeed read through the thread. YOU obviously did not read through my post. I said the paint or goo would cause temporary aesthetic damage (which it would). Even if you could wash the goo off (or paint over it), it would still damage the aesthetics of the car, if only temporarily (like grafitti damages the aesthetics of a building). And what if the goo got in the engine? Or on apholstery? Both are likely, and it would damage them, and they would probablly need to be replaced. What if the goo got on clothing (like police uniforms)? It would probablly permentaly stain any clothing it got on. And what about it getting in peoples eyes? It is a very real possibilty, especially if you plan to bomb the cars while the cop is in or aroudn the car. What about the damage to the environment? IF this good was very hard to wash off then it would probablly not be good to the environment (as it would take a long time ot biodegrade). It would probablly kill plants in the immediate area too. I admit the last too are a little farther-fetched, but they are quite possible unless you have a miracle goo at your disposal.

I am regarding it by talking about it. I am not approving of societies actions. I am not pardoning or forgiving any actions. In no way am I condoning any of societies predjudices. I am simply sating what I think is the most likely thing to result of your green-goo-bomb protest.

I never said all of society would. I said that I think (IMO) that most of/main stream society would. IMO (IN MY OPPINION), the act will do much much much more harm than good. But, if you are going to argue this much about it after many peolpe have said it is a bad idea, then you should go ahead and follow through with what you believe to be the best course of action. Go ahead with your protest and see what results. I would bet anything that your oppinion of what will happen will turn out wrong and mine will be right.

Jsut because I did not mention goo does not mean I didn't read through the thread lol. You assume way too many things (you know how the old saying goes: to assume makes an ASS out of U and Me). I did read the thread and the same thing applies to any goo you would use. It would be vandalism because it would cause damage to the aesthetics of the car. Plain and simple, it's not an oppinion, it's a fact (unless the people who own and drive the cop cars prefer the goo on their cars...which is very very unlikely).

No big deal, but when you are in a debate such as this one it is normally a good idea to remain credible.

I'll take us all back a few steps to look at the broader scope of things:

It's argued that recreational marijuana users are irresponsible and indolent citizens, with both of those traits being magnified upon lighting up. An unfair judgment to be sure, but prevalent all the same. Politicians are responsible for the marijuana legislature, which is in turn upheld by law enforcement; that is their job as society has outlined it to be.

3xi's plan is to 'bomb' squad cars with green goo in an attempt to convince police officers to embrace the lifestyle of the very people who caused the mess. The lifestyle of topic, incidentally, is illegal and is thus within the scope of what society as a whole currently asks law enforcement agencies to keep at a minimum.

So basically, your plan is to:

-Cause a mess (irresponsibility)
-Expect others to clean it up for you (indolence)
-Scrutinize police officers for doing their job - the scope of which they have little to no say in (nonsense)
-Lure those same police officers to embrace your viewpoint in response to the first three actions (lunacy)
-Ultimately prove to the Nation that recreational marijuana users are worth going through the trouble to change policies for (???)

None of this adds up. Moreover, you know your plan has holes in it when "Toilet Paper the Mayer's House" wouldn't look at all out of place on the agenda. It's sometimes fun to bicker online, but you have to admit that your plan makes absolutely no sense as far as changing marijuana legislature goes.

The recent signs of progress that we have seen have been the result of sincere pragmatism - not petty vandalism. You might think that no one takes notice of the nature of marijuana activism (which actually negates what you're trying to do) but, in fact, that couldn't be further from the truth. That said, kindly keep your green goo away from us sane individuals, and try to do your best to keep from sending unwelcome mixed messages.

Very well said :agree: . Sorry 3xi I was in pissed off mood when I posted that, I'm a supporting member of NY STATE NORML for many years now. We don't agree on violence and vandalism for legalizing/ decriminalizing it. I think it's just fucked up to do damage to police cars because they're doing there job, and believe me alot of cops smoke,and do other shit. Alot of pigs are fuckin corrupt. But,they DON'T write the laws.
