Yeh... a lot of good music comes from people who are stuggling with life.. due to drugs.. or relationship problems etc... i think those dark times really bring inspiration to people.. so many bands/people have gone down hill once they've cleared their lives up... well not down hill... but they're music changes and so appeals to a different audience.. take the chili peppers for example.

 

i havent heard much good music inspired by crack...

weed and acid maybe but not crack.
