who is people? i dont see how any language can be "MORE" correct. Languages vary greatly within themselves. British english is not static. Is london english better than say the english they speak in the country? to me that sounds like bigotry against the US. 'sides, we've done far more to make english a global language than Britain btw, the british accent sounds so whiny to me..its probably my least favorite. although on some women it can be really hot. what does a brit call his mother? Australians/new zealanders continue to say mum/bum way after 10 years old. And all the british people i've met say 'mum'
Well, i speak it, so yes. and anyone who looks at british english knows it is just wrong. Manoeuvre? Right.
Yes, what was he thinking? He's not allowed to have and express his opinion... either that or you are telling him that he REALLY thinks another language is better?
well if ya want ya can yell on me, i dont care, people have different type of opinions and yer welcome.. think whatever you think, tho i think icelandic is one of the hardest one.. and sounds good to me
just said what i think.. did i do something wrong man? or you just like pointing out yer picking on someone?
a bit more correct?? lol.....Webster managed to con the American govt out of the equivalent of [then] millions of dollars and he basically did nothing for the evolution of the English language with his dictionary He tried to implement some spelling rules....seemed like good idea.....but when he started indiscriminately trying to get rid of new words and and reinstall old words into common use (Autumn - Fall being a classic example) linguists realised that he was just another fool.......making up "rules" for his use of English apparently indescriminately.....and he was treat as such....shame, his dictionary should have been truly revolutioniary......not rip off.... there isn't really much of a difference bats.. both can co-exist and integrate readily.........Brit-English has always been a bastardised language.......drawing and assimilating communication from many different cultures (primarily from the days of the Bristish Empire) American English is just a continuation of this...there really isn't enough technical difference in them to define one as "better" than the other
I prefer France-French to Quebecois-French as for english, well, it's an ugly language any way you look at it. Hell, even German is better, at least it doesn't have fifty thousand exceptions to the grammatical and spelling "rules"
Mandarin Chinese is clearly the best language in the world. We had a vote and most people chose Mandarin. I like english though... lots of words so I can use lots a big words to hide the fact that I'm basically retarded. Driving on the right sides clearly a better idea. Brits just wanted to be wacky. As far as accents, Russians win.
If were moving on to the best languages here... the slavic languages are the most beautiful to listen to....well my opinion only.... In both american and british english....it depends on the dialect...there is such a huge difference in regional accents in both countries, some i like and some i dont.... I was taking a light-hearted look at the differences... and there are plenty to choose from... my intention wasnt to provoke an argument into which is better...just that misunderstandings can occur because of these differences...
