I know she is, she mentionned the Irish flag a few times. I just meant i don't know if she puts meaning behind that American flag (but from what i see, it's purely a fashion thing, so yea we agree)
Ha, Lynz, you are adorable! I hate the American flag on clothing, but that may just be because of it being SO overdone. And the fact that when I was 12, Old Navy opened shop an hour away and my dad got in on those American flag shirts for Independence Day and bought everyone matching ones. At least in addition to those ugly things, he bought me a camisole with a little American flag on the front of it, so if I had to match the family, I was doing it stylishly. ;-) It is strange, though, that it is clearly against American flag etiquette (yes, there is such thing, lol) to wear the flag in any form or fashion unless you are military or police and have a specific patch, but since...well...Old Navy opened up (lol, I really don't know if that's when it started, that's just when I remember it becoming popular), every self-proclaimed patriot wears the flag and decorates everything with it. Now I'm not sure if that means an actual flag shouldn't be worn or if it means you shouldn't wear clothing with an image of the flag. According to my own personal Boy Scout, it means actual flags, not images of the flag. But these are all semantics because flag rules don't apply to non-Americans. I've always been a fan of the British flag myself. I had this HUGE ring when I was a kid that had the British flag as a charm, and these shoes with the red crosses from the British flag on them. I thought I was cool as Ginger Spice. I'd still to this day give just about anything to own that flag dress of hers.
I guess I should have been more specific on this post. It was intended that BBAD should be shot for posting the fat guy in a thong pic. Thank you for going batshit crazy on me Kinky Ramona and giving me a negative rep.
it only really came into fashion here recently, but yeah i bet its pretty over done in america :O ha thats weird, i never knew that! learn something new every day haha oh i remember that dress! (who doesnt!!??) yeah the british flag is nice! But if i wore something as british as that i think everyone in the country would hate me hahaa ha i just watched that last week! maybe i subconsciously wanted to look like him! haha uhoh.. love ya KR
I apologize for assuming. I will gladly take some negative rep as payback. I tend to go batshit crazy a lot these days, I should probably look into that.
yeah I'd stare as you go walk in by. I'd be more likely to wear a Irish flag on my clothes than an american flag. But thinking about it if I could find a american flag on the back of a tee shirt might be cool.
haha really? i have an irish jersey... but i dont really like jerseys too much :-/ suppose its a 'must have' tho for when the football (soccer ) is on
You know what, I too must apologize for my post. After a bit of thought and personal reflection I commend you KR for standing up for a forum friend. I have done enough of that myself.
its an ugly combination of colors to begin with. it doesn't look any better as clothing then it does as a flag. it just makes people look like idiots.
i like the colours! maybe living in ireland i dont see it all the time,so i'm not sick of it.. i duno. i like it!
