Not necessarily. Time and history has been recorded in the plethora of literature plus the physical evidence on the ground it's just the complete ignorance of humans in this era of life that choose to believe that we are currently right now more in tune with the fantasy we create ourselves than what is perceived as fantasy from thousands of years ago.

That's the danger and reality of it all and I don't get it. Why do we regard the bible as factual evidence of what was happening on earth 2500 years ago but then turn our backs on even older history? I've heard it many times said, the bible is the oldest documented history of humans if you take away the religious elements behind it, it is history. But we know now the bible isn't original in almost all of its form or concept, so if it's going to be regarded as history so highly then you need to start going to the original sources, but we call this "mythology".

It's also good to know that the term mythology originally derives from the Latin word, Mythos, and Mythos at the time of recording (writing, story, painting) were actual happenings and not "myth" in the Form of fantasy we use as terminology today. When the ancient scribes of Greece Etc. wrote about Mythos, they were recording actual events and happenings. In more recent times we have reworded this and made a new terminology and understand mythology as make believe.

So the bible is comprised of make believe, yet we actually use it as historic literature and evidence of our history all those years ago.

    So which is it?

  4. We used to have aliens in the chat room. But it's been a long time since I saw one there. I guess they went home.

Another instance where I find "mythology" catches up with physical evidence is Baalbek.

    I'll quickly write the story.

It's been established that many thousands of years ago the Northern parts of Mesopotamia were singnificantly cooler than what it is today.

When the Anunnaki arrived on earth and set up camp in 7 days and decided to take the 7th day of work off from there after as a rest day (notice the biblical similarities between the creation of earth in 7 days and the holy Sabbath) Enki became increasingly frustrated with the hot climate of earth and also how short the days were on earth. So Enki decided to travel a little farther north in a more favourable climate.

He was tasked to build a secondary base camp but something more suitable for the incoming and outgoing space ships to land on rather than the more sandy areas of Sumar.

I believe this is where Sumerian Mythology actually starts to see some physical evidence and this is at Baalbek, north of Sumar just like the story and the giant megalithic stones that are some of the worlds heaviest and largest stones of megalithic structures are found. I believe these stones are the launching and descent pads of Enki's 2nd landing zone, exactly like it is written.

But what we get taught is that ancient man must have had nothing better to do so they created these huge megalithic structures simply because they thought it would be cool and gave them something to do and that they must have also done this with very limited people, because historians tell us that there was no civilisation back then, that it was nomadic hunter gatherer types of tribal society. Well the physical evidence and the demanding size of these stones at Baalbek completely thwart that dimension of thinking.

Just to add more literature evidence from the bible, in the Apocrypha which is the stories that were deemed to be unfit for the bible mostly because of what you're about to read it says that King Soloman, who we can all establish is real according to history thanks to the bible, used to go to Baalbek, the land of the "celestial boats".

So that is 2 pieces of historic literature that reference the same basic principal of Baalbek, yet one we have to disregard as myth and the other as historical evidence and the ignorance of man in this era tells us to laugh at this premise, yet the physical evidence of such a place is laying right there on the ground.

Now Asmo wants me to sit and reflect that these stories are that cultures way of trying to make an understanding of the questions they didn't understand and used these mythological stories to bridge the gaps. But they aren't stories any longer because the physical evidence is right there.

Why would a culture who could seemingly with ease create such monuments need to create a fantasy story to bridge a gap of how their own architecture came into place? It makes absolutely zero sense and I shake my head at that notion.

Something extremely big, massive and important happened at Baalbek for these monuments and megaliths to have been fashioned and I think it's time we truly look into ancient mythology for answers, because that is our history and it's literally written on the freakin walls.

Just doing a little more research into Baalbek and historians can't even seem to agree with one another. One source says 9000 years old, another says 3000 years old, another says pre deluge foundations. The only thing they seem to agree in is that the original foundations aren't Roman or Greek and speculate it must be Phoenician. But just like the great pyramids, there is still older documentation that concludes their existence, but it's been pushed into that "mythological world" because it doesn't conform with mainstream history.

It's like the the pyramids said to be 2500BC and aligned to the belt of Orion, only in 2500BC they were not aligned correctly to Orion's belt. They were aligned correctly at 10,500 BC and the Sphinx stared directly into the centre of the star constellation of Leo. Which makes sense right? The lion looks the lion. But in 2500BC it was out. So we're told these ancients had awesome mathematical geniuses to built these complex structures with their accuracy but we're also supposed to believe they somehow miss calculated and missed the mark by 8000 years of alignment? I find that highly unlikely, considering the sphinx and the pyramids were documented in Sumerian 4500BC as landing beacons because the great flood ruined the landscape 11,000 years ago.

So again you have this written literature of history but we aren't allowed to believe it because oh that's different to what we've always been taught. Yeah, it's different and it's still also recorded history and you can't change that.

So we are taught to believe that the great pyramids were built for their Pharaohs, but there is actually no evidence of this at all, it's just become romanticised. In fact, many pyramids found in Egypt have never been found to hold remains, or mummy's or anything indicating that its purpose was for a tomb. But that's what we have to believe in and if you don't you're a conspiracy theorist out of touch with reality... with the only reality being that no Pharaoh was ever found in them.

So with everything we think we know and everything we've been taught there the one fact is, the great pyramids have never shown any signs of being a tomb. The oldest literature on the pyramids also says they aren't tombs. Once again mythology and physical evidence coincide with one another.

But by who, when and in what book? Is the source you are taking this from a literal translation from the oldest original source, or an interpretation of it?
Which book you read comes closest you think and would you recommend me?
I am also interested in other recommendations on the subject, preferably your favs (the ones you found most interesting or convincing) :)

If it's uncertain its only wise to acknowledge that. You sound like something dubious is going on here too but what exactly?
As long as they acknowledge the speculation is just that, they're doing it just right i would think.

This is a common approach in your attempt to discredit mainstream science, but who or what is actually not allowing us to believe those things? It seems you put it like that because the consensus is still different. People are criticized when they go overboard with their conclusions (which they are still allowed to believe in). Far less with their considerations of alternative options.
This is false. There's strong evidence that at least several were. If at some point its clear they're older, then still we can't deny that they then have been reused for dead pharaohs. But at this point its not crazy to assume at least several were build specifically for that purpose. It also explains such shafts that start in the tomb chamber and are aimed at certain stars.

I will give you my sources, in time when I go back through them. :p :)

Yes they will most likely be Sumarian, I prefer to use Sumerian as it's arguably the oldest stuff out there from a people we call a civilisation.

From memory, and I will of course re-learn this, the pyramids were written as 3 triangles, pretty much like they look in 2D. They were mentioned several times. The original use and conception was the landing beacons. It's been highly suggested the pyramids were coated in something, I'm thinking maybe something reflective that could draw UV and possibly even make the pyramids themselves glow. Somehow.

I also remember, I'm pretty sure it was Marduk who sought refuge in the great pyramid after Ninharsag got fed up with his bullshit, came from the East for war with him. I think I can recall they did have some technology inside the pyramids, nothing too complex like some theories you hear but definitely as a beacon it was probably more communication based. I'm thinking I'll have to read through Gilgamesh or book of Enki, or possibly even Sitchin's Stairway to Heaven. (im pretty sure it's Gilgamesh that mentions Baalbek)

I know there have been people found buried in pyramids, but none of the main Player Pyramids come up with anything like that, not just the Giza pyramids but a lot of others elsewhere.

Like, there's also the Valley of the Kings in Egypt and pretty much all the kings of Egypt have been located there so doesn't it kind of make sense that they were were buried in the valley where they were found and not in pyramids? :p

    Found this interesting.

As it turns out, the Great Pyramid at Giza, otherwise known as the Pyramid of Cheops or Khufu, might not have been properly attributed to the person who ordered its construction. It seems that there is actually significant evidence it was not built by Khufu and the only reason historians and archeologists have dated it to the 4th dynasty is due to a questionable discovery by an English Egyptologist, Major-General Richard Vyse. Author and alternative theorist, Zecharia Sitchin, found that there is ample evidence that Vyse, after spending over a million dollars on an expedition into the upper chambers of the Great Pyramid, came up empty-handed and forged the cartouche of Cheops.

Upon discovering Vyse’s private journal, it noted that he could not find a cartouche or any hieroglyphics in the King’s chamber, despite desperately searching for them. However, in his book written of the expedition three years later, it says that he did find just one. Many believe it to be possible that he may have forged the cartouche so he could call his expedition a success. Surprisingly, the chamber had also been visited before with no previous visitors having seen the cartouche, until Vyse supposedly discovered it.

Sitchin also pointed out that the name of Khufu had been misspelled in the cartouche, which could have been attributed to a misspelling in a book published at that time, likely to have been in Vyse’s possession and used as his reference. Instead of spelling out Khufu, it actually read Ra-ufu.

Further evidence came to light later, when two German students secretly scraped off a piece of the cartouche’s paint, bringing it back to Dresden for testing. Though the sample was too small for dating, it was found that the pigment was not painted on the original limestone and was instead found to be painted on plaster, seeming to prove that it was in fact counterfeited by Vyse.

No, the article doesn't say that at all. My original claim about the pyramids was that I believe they're older than historians tell us.

Like I've said time and time again, I believe aliens made it, or, we've lost a civilisation of humans that did.

In the book of Enoch, Enoch built the pyramids before the great flood as a protection for historic literature, under the guidance of The Watchers and their technology.

The book of Enoch was not allowed to be used in the bible for its contraversial history.

This is what I mean. If the new testament wasn't finalised until after 1250AD and they basically picked and choosed from the old testament what they wanted to teach and what they didn't want to teach for this new Christian religion, doesn't that just go to show you how what we are taught is misleading? They're fine tuning some of the most important historic literature and then that's what we get taught and I suggest it's not just biblical history because it isn't. A lot of mythology isn't actually religious, they're Mythos, they are the scribes words of what was believed to be a factual event.

    Mythos:
    • noun A story or set of stories relevant to or having a significant truth or meaning for a particular culture, religion, society, or other group.
