It already passed in Alaska nearly 2-1. It's for Medical Marijuana, but if it's as easy there as it was in California to have an "ailment", then it's a pretty good deal for us potheads! I really do care if weed is legalized because more than anything, it's a matter of principle. I shouldn't be made a criminal for smoking recreationally in my home. I'm no more a criminal than Uncle Dave who's always wasted. I shouldn't have to look over my shoulder all the time, figuratively (I'm not really dumb enough to do it outside anymore). It didn't pass in Oregon, though, which is a total surpise, man! Eddie's right, though. The Federal government holds precedence over state law, and it's going to be similar to the Fed. raids on offices in California. Either way, it's still a good step in the right direction.

I really don't think kids should be smoking before age 18 because they haven't reached full emotional maturity, and it can cause serious problems like psychosis in younger users. So, I'm cool with the age limit thing. As for the taxes, I'd really enjoy supporting my country with my recreational drug of choice. I would take pride in that.

Doran, did you ever see "Cliff 'Em All"? It's great.

    "Is this Thai?"

    "Yeah, Thai, it's Thai"

    (silence)

"And it was okay with the U-nited states government!"

    lol R.I.P. man, R.I.P.

Well, your tobacco laws might be kind of harsh, but Ohio's marijuana law isn't so bad:

Even the federal law for the first two offences is a misdemeanor:
    http://www.norml.org/index.cfm?wtm_view=&Group_ID=4575

Here's the general map for the US:

Now, maybe things have changed, but it must have been pretty recently changed if it was.

"Matthew Fagnani, chairman of the sole opposition group to Measure 2 and president of the local drug-testing firm WorkSafe Inc., said he was "very happy" about the results. "Today is a good day for the sake of the future of Alaska's children," he said."

Yup, the future of Alaka's children can now be drug tested and have their privacy encroached upon safely! yay!

24 hours of Marijuana classes?! How the hell can they fill 24 with THAT much bullshit?
