And yes, I can't help but think it was not a coincidence that you wound up being at home moreso than usual the last several weeks. He went know he was well loved.

 

My son has 6 guns (unless he has recently bought more, which isn't an impossibility)...

and he doesn't hunt. He just likes to target practice / shoot. He hold me more than once that the only way he felt he could ever hunt was if he were in a situation where he had to provide food...and this would mean he (and anyone that loves him) was unable to get to a grocery store. lol

I'll never forget as a kid watching my aunt wring a chicken's neck - it doesn't take but about 2 seconds and then cut it off with a BIG knife. It'd run around without its head for a good minute.

People think that is just something people say but it really happens.

Anyway, apparently it never took long to dress it or what ever you call it to pluck it and cut it up because she would fry it up in short order! I guess those would be what are called free range chickens nowadays. They ranged free and ate not only seed tossed to them daily but bugs and anything. lol

Dang that was good eating, with all vegs coming from the garden...

 

I forgot I saw the weather guy from our news going into dollarama today....he looks fatter on tv...I was surprised he's just a little guy....I couldn't rmember his name and our eyes met...I just said ''hey weather guy'' lol....he just hello back and smiled

 

lot of grouse dont die fast but i try to get to them quick and give them a neck spin to end it quicker

doesnt bother me as much as i thought it would..probably because they taste so good

I just get spurs to go and fire some shots every now and again. But 99% of the time the guns stay locked up in the safe.

 

we can leave them out here but they have to be locked twice

door lock on the house counts...second one is a locked room..or safe...or lockable cabinet..or trigger lock

 

Do you have random police stop overs that check to them?

When I first got my lisence over here they would come a few times first off then maybe once a year and now I don't see them lol. I expected with my latest two rifles that they would come and see, but I haven't seen or heard from them yet. Mind you I wouldn't, because they come unannounced.

but if they come for other reasons they can check it all if one person has a license

and if its a violence or domestic or mental health type call they can take everything regardless


also if someone dies they can come and make sure the guns are stored proper and executor knows the laws....or collect certain things for destruction(some people have things that are legal to own but illegal to transfer due to newer laws)
