Viruses are common in all forms of life. But they are particullarly rampant in populations which live close together. It's not as if the planet itself is cruel, it's just how virues work. It's more of an evolutionary trait of viruses to help them thrive. Viruses aren't techincally 'alive' but like living things they change to their surroundings and try to spread themselves as much as possible. While it may be true that decemating out one prevelant species will help others thrive, (mammals wouldn't likely be around if there were still dinosaurs.) I'm not particulallry one who believes in a god/mother earth like figure which is actively making descions for animals. Either way our dealing with HIV should be the same. We should heavily devote resources to try to destroy this virus. If mother nature wants to get rid of us it should try something short and sweet like a massive volcano eruption that blocks out the sun for a decade or so.
What in the world are you talking about? Homosexuals and heterosexuals are biologicaly the same. Processing nutrients via the same biochemical pathways and subject to the same diseases. Anyone smart enough to create the AIDS virus would know that it would affect all people. In answer to the proposition that AIDS is the earth's defence against humanity, I recomend that people read Another Roadside Attraction by Tom Robbins and pay attention to John Paul's theory of gonorrhea.
Gonorrhea can be conteracted by antibiotics. Tom Robbins can only be conteracted by education. Roadside Attraction was a work of fiction, it's not realistic to place you confidence in works of fiction. I have many works of fiction that have guided by life, but you can't quote them as fact.
