Agnosticism makes the most sense to me.

    I find it somewhat perplexing to believe in the "afterlife" when one is not affiliated with any religion.
    (well, i'm assuming that the concept of "afterlife" belonged to religion, if i'm wrong, then I just learned something new today)

    Afterlife falls under belief systems just as religion falls under belief systems. I don't think religion is the 'owner' per se of afterlife. Anthropologist would know.
