    Actually thats changing.

By March 1st the Canadian Senate will be passing the Conservative Government's "Tackling Violent Crime Act" that will change Age of Consent in this country.

Heterosexual (vaginal) sex in Canada will be raised to age 16 in Canada. 14 and 15 year olds will be able to have heterosexual sex with close in age exceptions (within 5 years of age).

Homosexual (anal) sex in Canada was legalized in 1969 with the consent age at 21. This was lowered in 1982 to 18, and remains such today. Homosexual sex is not legal in Canada until you are 18 (I know its a double standard...)

The age of consent is 18 years where the sexual activity involves exploitative activity, such as prostitution, pornography or where there is a relationship of trust, authority or dependency.

The one other issue in Canada is any man that has had homosexual sex with another man in the last 5 years is not allowed to give blood or be an organ doner in Canada because of a "high risk lifestyle" (eh...)
