the reason was already posted Old hippies are smarter..more mature...have lots to contribute...and dont like to be bothered with youngins'
I'm old enough..but putting a age limit in regards to be a hippie goes against everything the movement was about
The age limit isn't in regards being a hippie but in regards posting in the Old Hippies Forum. Which by it's name seems to be for old Hippies. So the question is how old is old?
I know... but I really like what the young folks have to say too. To exclude them is almost pro-establishment... become what we are/were against. Do we need a youngster forum too? or Left handed only? Blondes ? Redheads? People who voted for Bush? I do understand the sanctuary concept and respect that, but that's a horse <lol> of a different color
Dig, 'cos I got my own world to live through And I ain't gonna copy you. But I'm gonna wave my freak flag high, high. Wave on, wave on Fall mountains, just don't fall on me Go ahead on Mr. Business man, you can't dress like me. Sing on Brother, play on drummer.
I really like what the young folks have to say as well but I can listen to them in all the other forums but the Old Hippies forum is for well... Old Hippies.
It's name is fine. It’s for old hippies you know the ones who stood on the corner of Haight Ashbury or sat on Hippy Hill and grooved listening to the music in the years between ’65 and ‘75 or went to the first Woodstock. If you were there perhaps you would like to share those experiences with the rest of us Old Hippies?
My first car was a blue '54 Chevy convertible with a 6 cylinder and a Power Glide transmission and at the time it was just 12 years old.
Like how to spell "forty"... us old farts are geniuses just fucking with you Drakor---k OWB ... woodstock .. the venue was a tour.. I made the texas pops in 69 check out the line up...look familiar
my apologies, I thought the idea behind this thread was to put an age limit on hippies rather then the age of posting in the 'old hippie thread'. Don't I feel like a silly "young'n"
