Accepting money

    Erik was so adamant about it because I didn't get anything (no card, no phone call, nothing) for Christmas or my birthday. He feels like my dad owes me.

    Its your father... If hes well off enough to give you the money... Accept it.... Its not shameful to take money from your father... Its part of his job as a dad to help you out.... Just because your not 10 anymore doesnt mean he cant help provide for you... He obviously thinks you need the money... so take it...
    True it could easilly be looked at as "he owes you" and Take the money.. But forget about Owing you or no... hes your father... he wants the best for you and wants to help you...

    And my Father has tendancy to Forget my Birthday... And All my Christ mas Presents come from "Pat[my step mom] and Dave" no "DAD" He doesnt even know what he gets me.... But if i need money... Hes the first one to offer it....

    I have a hard time even accepting my pay-cheque at the end of 2 weeks of work. I can't accept money from people, even for birthdays or christmas. I tell everyone not to get me anything at all.
