Oh, I know. That wasn't directed at anyone in this thread except that huck finn dude, but i dont know what his deal is. The bible-thumping comment was directed to the rich, white, old men, who run this country. Namely George Bush.

 

As for the COmment of MEN, you do understand that is in a sense a sexiest comment towards people...NOT ALL men are for what they stand for on religious basis but to some its also considering the child, and there are some WOMAN that are just as bad as men...and if you would like i will post articles supporting this if i must, but i wasen't tyring to bash you in any sense i just thought that was a lop-sided statement....you had made...

And as for the reiglious perspective...I am sorry, but i am a follower of a religious faith and i have read though my share of the bible and the scriptures that reflect into a topic such as this...Now, I would like to say seeing how the bible is the way that it is...it can't really give an effective or effeciant means to give any crediblity to be against it or for it, because it isn't backed with enough evidence and is just saying that ya shouldn't do it...Which really doens't help the matter at all...

i know she was stupid and fucked up, i've said this to her, but the thing is she is still a child herself. she is definitely not ready for having the responsibility of a child. her boyfriend is also 16, doesn't have a job and said that the decision was up to the girl. i think the decision to keep the baby or not should be up to them and nobody else...
anyway, if she had this child she would get chucked out of house and would be disowned by her family, is this really the best thing for the kid? it seems very hard to balance having a kid with no support, as well as going to university and being in debt. i don't know how she would manage living there AND have a 2 year old kid, you can't send a 2 year old child to a nursery 24/7.
of course the male should have some say about his child, but at the end of the day imagine having to carry a child which you don't want.

 

Okay, for all of those who are against abortion, can you tell me what you will do with all the dead babies in ditches, wooded areas, alley ways, etc...? You can not force a woman to be a mama. Also, how are we going to feed all of these people? Without abortion our population will get out of hand and we will not be able to feed them. A lot of people "need" to eat their meat and meat requires a lot of land to graze. Even growing veggies take up a lot of room. So is it better to perform abortions or put children into a situation in which they may be starving to death?

As a society, we need to stop sugar-coating sex ed. Give people the hard, gruesome truth about sex, and it's consequences. Teach women and men EVERY form of birth control, including fertility awareness method.

We need to stop pressuring grown women to have children just because they are married. Parenting isn't just something you do because everyone does it, and no one seems to think that way.

 

no matter what you say in school a majority of the time the students will not practice what you say. ask any teacher this.

 

I am pro-choice. I believe allowing the woman the option is the lesser of the two "evils" and for health and saftey reasons - aswell as for political reasons which surround the abortion issue - *I* can ONLY be pro-choice. There is NO other option for *me* but I 100 percent respect the fact that thier may be another option(the "pro-life" option) for other women/persons of diffrent mind sets, in diffrent situations, with diffrent understandings of "morality". The only diffrence between us may be that I do not believe in policing my own personal oppinions - or pushing them into the lives of other people via legislation.

Did you know about a third of the college population has kids? and about a forth of that are young mothers? A CHILD should never be considered a mistake and thats what they teach in sex ed. I think that is rediculious how they always make kids out to be the god damn bad guys? What the hell did they do to you in the first place?

YOU and your PARTNER chose to have intercourse and thus must be held INTERILY responsible for your actions you shouldn't be allowed to get off so easy. I also dont approve of the fact that there are people are basicly trying to put a law on abortion. Is it right Maybe not? who are we to judge?

The point being the child is not a mistake, and to those who think that it fucks up the rest of your life? IT DOESN'T. Sure you ahve to alter some of your lifestyle and add a kid into the matter it doesn't mean that it ruins your life and I dont approve of the fact thats what parents tell there kids..When they need to give a just reality..

And i agree with sex ed should be more extreme and show what really happens to kids.

People makes mistakes. Kids (babies) didn't have a chance to. The ones that were called mistakes (unwanted) was busy getting their neck broke and the brains sucked out. They didn't ask to be here and they sure in the hell didn't ask to die.

And foetus have no neck nor brain when they are removed. those are not formed yet, nor are the legs and arms. They come much later, In the first weeks of pregnacny the beby isnt there yet.

And what when a woman have a spontan abort, called miscarriage?
She didnt wanted that either, nor did the baby.
Who decided for that then?
God?
Does it makes sens to you at all?
And those send to war, forced to, they didnt ask to be there, they had to, and didnt ask to get killed either and had no choice at all.
And victims of war? waht about them?
They didnt ask to be killed and have to move away, it was decided for them.

and what about kids born with malformations and very bad disease they have to live with always and who make their life a hell and the life of their mother and father a misery?

did they do soemthing to be punished with this from birth?

Lorna, go read what all they do to a baby when this is being done to it. How fast the baby grows. The heart is there in no time at all and starts beating. If there is a heart..there is a soul, love. If there is a soul, it's (life there) a baby, not just a foetus (as you call it).

 

Theres a HUGE difference between going to WAR and getting killed and MAKING a frigging decision to kill your baby. C'mon grow a brain.


Imagine, your neck breaking, your brains getting squashed and your tiny toes and organs getting sucked into a tube and your gettting thrown away. How would you feel.. As for the MEN and WOMEN going to WAR they are fighting for you and I Lorna!!! .... Women have abortions at any Stage not just at 1-2-3-4 weeks the heart starts beating .. How can you compare the two? People that sign up to fight for our country know that they could die. Well, at least they got to live, even if some had to die to keep the peace.

 

people do not always sign up to fight, children are recruted all over africa and forced to kill and get killed.
and also adults in many countries do not have any choice as in russia they cannot say no to going to war.

waht about women with chroonical disease and medicated who does that the child could die or themselves?
what about situations where the foetus is in such a palce that it is going to blow the uterus and she will die and the child too unless they perform an abortion immediatly?

and i wasnt talking about abortions meade at 7 months but at the first weeks of pregnacy, before the 3rd month, max 9 weeks, and never over it.
as it is calculated from the first menstruation day, the last menstruation before pregnacy, it means in fact less weeks than that even.

you just talk without the necessary maturity and life experience about it, you just judge, you lack the first hand experience made on your own of being in a situation where there is no other ways available.

I have seen a several hours program on conception from before the spermatozoide comes in, and you can see with a camera placed inside all the baby growing.
it isnt the heart who is there, but the cells who constitute the cells of the hearts, and whcih function is to beat contsntly , so even the heart isnt fromed at all yet, you can see those cells beatting.
They are part of a muscle, thats why.
And there is also life in a lam, but you all eat lams at easter.
The name foetus is the medical name meaning an egg in gestation, which is the case here.
It is an embryon, or foetus. It is the real name for it.
A baby is a new born. Before birth he isnt finished yet, and thats why it is call an embryon.
The embryon of the first 4 weeks looks first like the embryon of a frog, because the genetical base is the same. It only change at a later stage.
It is important to understand that.
Also that after sex, it takes 5 to 6 days for the spermatozoide to reach the egg. So plan B syustem are not abortion, but a way to close the egg as p-pills does, and provocate menstruation BEFORE the egg is fecondated.
So it cannot be call an abort in that case, or all women have abort every month all their life if menstruation is hte same as abortion.
Foetus is not a negative term about baby, it is the name for a baby in formation, and baby is for the foetus who has passed its final stage of development.
