Actually, given how much of the Bible contradicts itself, a Christian has to have a moral compass just to navigate it.

I really do think it's a mistake to think of these people as irrational or amoral. Their morals may be less vague, all-encompassing and happy-claapy than ours, but they exist, and they make sense if you can think like they do.

The Bible's line on stillbirths and abortions is that they end up in Purgatory, because they die unbaptised. They don't go to Heaven, because of Original Sin. So obviously Christians don't want abortion going on. Whereas some - and I'm going to stress "SOME" here - I guess they figure that an adult has had plenty to time to get baptised and hasn't taken the opportunity, so they're not an innocent.

 

I'm led to believe I was left under a cabbage patch and/or by a stork. But then God told me that my dad stuck his winky in my mummy's tummy, so to be honest, I don't know what to believe anymore.

 

Most prolifers advocate adoption as a preferable alternative to abortion. Whether growing up in an orphanage is preferable to not growing up at all is a matter of debate, of course.

But yeah, I know God probably doesn't exist, and if He does, He's probably nothing like the God in the Bible, and is probably just some big space animal that likes to fuck with fledgling civilisations' minds now and then by prtending He created them.

Probably not, since they probably get lost in the foster system and are physically and sexually abused until they are old enough to do those things to someone else.

I actually know people who were adopted, early mind you when they were infants, one girl in perticulair who I remember was a fox in high school, no problems at least not on the outside mmm, but I'm getting off topic, the point is orphanages aren't prisons for those who have been disowned or lost their parents early in life, it's not Oliver Twist wiseass, it's the first world in the 21st century.
