    my best guess is that in your 43 years of life, you've never left your living room for more than a beer and a pack of smokes. if my dad being in the army is that amazing to you, you really don't get out much.

    haha havent you seen those army commercials where its liek strength to get other jobs?
    where being in the army helps you get a good job once your back in the U.S? maybe he became a medical guy after being in the military.

    nah, he actually joined during the vietnam war and only did 5 years active duty after doing all his medical shit.

    (this is all a part of my secret plan to seem cool on this forum though. talk about something out of the ordinary so they believe you. right hippie?)

    might as well keep going. yeah, my dad: national merit scholar, class president in high school, was chosen to be chief resident after med school--turned it down because he worked in the wrong hospital. full athletic scholarship to college for rowing. benched 340 max at 23. ran 5 min miles at the same age.

    goddamn am i cool.

    I don't see why anyone cares whether or not this kid is lying. I personally don't care. It's a forum, you all could be lying about your real lives.

    Anyway, maybe the cops didn't bust you for the opium because they wanted to seize it and smoke it ;)

    well i know my mom joined during the vietnam war...i'm pretty sure my dad did too. she was an ltc too...did twenty years, got her retirement check then quit. i'm pretty sure my dad was in during the vietnam too but i could be wrong. all i know is my parents were out of the army when we moved to hicksville when i was 4 (i was born in cali)...my dad did five, my mom twenty, and my dad's been back in for over a year now (reserves).
