Maybe I'm just really obtuse, but I wasn't aware of your extensive knowledge in all things prostitute related.

I hail from a small northern town in middle of America. Growing up, I heard about prostitutes that visited the local ore docks and I had watched Pretty Woman a bunch of times. That's what I knew of the subject.

Of course, with age and new experiences, I have a different take on it. I spend quite a bit of time in Nevada these days, where prostitution has been legalized. Hell, I even tried to go to a whore house (The diddle and dance). It's also a bar, but they would not admit us because I was female.

Anyhow, I think I've gone off track. As for my personal feelings, well, I'm glad I don't have to prostitute myself out. I'm not a man. I realize men do it for different reasons. I also don't think it should be illegal.

My husband pointed out a few of his buddies who picked up whores before. I'll
admit, I thought less of them for a couple of reasons. The two particular guys paid for sex in countries where sex slaves is a known problem. I suppose I also relate it to desperation, although neither of the guys really are.

I suppose I automatically think of a prostitute as a victim. I know this isn't always so. It's just an instant reaction.

So anyhow, you never answered my question. Have you paid for sex?

 

If you want to know prostitution, look at porn. Porn is prostitution, in fact most pornstars do the exact same thing off camera. I, myself, have fucked one of them.

A casual stroll through my posts would give you the answer, but since you seem to want a very direct one: I've probably paid close to 100 sex workers for sex and counting.

In New York, the ones who'll give you good service charge $200. For $600, you can find two 10 out of 10 bombshells who'll fuck you multiple times till your eyes screw and you can't walk properly for a week.

the guys that I know that went to a hooker have a fairly large disposable income. I'm thinking if some you hard line "no never" guys had a pile of money sitting around you view might change.
When I did it I was in my 20's make a very good living for a single guy out partying with some friends when someone brought it up. I was easy for us to drop a small pile of money for some fun.

I don't see anything inherently wrong with paying for sex.

Other than the inescapable fact that (because of the way society teaches women, and because of the way some naturally are) women sex workers resent their work greatly and would rather work elsewhere, if they could get good enough money for something else or had another marketable skill.

Also, diseases.... consider that you could be paying to die slowly and painfully.

Given all that, it's highly unlikely I ever will. I mean, never say never, but not in a typical "hooker" setting, that's for sure.

 

Everybody pays. Wether it is with your time, buying lunch ( that is what I do, it's cheaper than dinner), a movie, or that new dress or shoes or whatever. Everything costs, and everybody pays.

I think the definitions of prostitution cut thro the whole concepts of relationships, and even interaction between the sexes.

1stly, while I feel uncomfortable about it,al trying to associate it with geeks, pervs and fat old people, the reality can be massively different.
Cristiano Ronaldo and the young Jack Nicholson could have pretty much any woman they wanted. But they choose the idea of picking something "for sale in a shop" rather than the romancing or pick up route.

2nd, accurate figures are very hard. Often users will never admit it to family, probably not to their other half, or to a close friend. But I think a lot of that is the fear of blackmail - as you see on stag trips,where the groups split up at the end of the night etc.

3rd, I think it does actually pull the relative balance of power slightly back in favour of guys. Many guys have been victim to an attractive but predatory women. I can think of one friend who married a hot, charming "nice" girl, who after 1 kid became obese and vicious. She was adamant he'd be "stuck with her" ( and never diet) unless there was a pretty costly divorce settlement.
Now he looks back and feels that escorts/hookers/whatever would have been a way cheaper and more attractive option.

Infact I can think of one guy who would rank it all as the best experience of his life, alongside the birth of his kid. ( maybe even ahead of..)

I just dont know where the boundaries are on all this. But I think honesty and respect should be the key to it.

When I was younger, I thought of people who used prostitutes as pathetic old perverts who cannot get laid otherwise. Then one day at a party I was introduced to a young woman. We hit it off, I really dug this chick. She was smart, sexy, funny, good taste in music, etc. all the things I look for in a woman. She was going through school to be a botanist. After hanging out with her a couple times after that, she told me she's been a prostitute for the past year and a half. She explained how she's a nymphomaniac, and would be having tons of sex anyway, so she started charging for it. She screens all of her clients and only conducts business with those who she's attracted to, and uses the money to pay her way through school. She told me to hit her up anytime I wanted a "mind blowing lay."

I didn't know what to think at first, but after a few weeks past I decided to take her up on her offer. It was fucking amazing! I knew what to expect from the get to, and to be frank the honesty of it all was really refreshing. I had several "fwb" relationships prior, and things always get complicated and someone ends up hurt. I saw her off and on till she graduated and took a job on the west coast. At that time she introduced me to a few friends of hers that were doing the same thing, and I've been seeing those girls, along with a few others I've met along the way ever since.

So yes, I have paid for sex. Several times. And I don't regret it at all.

I've had only one disappointing experience, and even that wash really bad, just not that great.

These would be my top reasons for going prostitute-only (with few exceptions) for the last 3 years. I don't have to suck up to women, I don't have to worry about paying for drinks and gifts and whatnot and not getting what I want, and finally, I don't have to put a ridiculous ring on my finger.

It's not a bed of roses. I'd much rather not pay. But, if I'm gonna pay, I'd rather it be upfront than by some meandering way. And, I certainly don't want to pay with my personal space or my pride. Since women feel the need to "get something in return" for sex, I choose the lesser of evils.

Yeah, this is what completely mystifies me. I could never enjoy having sex with another person, no matter how physically attractive I thought they were, if I knew, or even suspected, that they were not also enjoying the experience. The thought literally makes me nauseous. I don't see how a person can just shut down that part of the brain and just take pleasure from another person this way. In my mind, it's basically like paying someone to let you rape them. I'm not trying to be all holier than thou about this either, but apparently a lot of men (and perhaps a lot of women) don't share this sense of revulsion that I have with regard to this. I'm no prude, but for me this goes beyond any kind of simple lechery into a kind of dark, predatory place I don't care to tread.

 

In your tiny little mind, you do not accept that women may enjoy having casual sex with large numbers of men in spite of feminist propaganda about how women need an emotional connection.

But, I'm pretty sure this is beating a dead horse with you. And, tomorrow you're going to go right back to, hookers are STD-infested, crack addicts, who begrudgingly fuck old, creepy, pot-bellied men who couldn't get laid otherwise. It's a fixed idea to people who hold feminist ideology dear, regardless of how much evidence they might have to the contrary.

Not saying that doesn't happen BTW. But, it's the tip of the iceberg for prostitution. It's what someone who knows nothing about it sees because, like homelessness, it's most visible. And they assume that's all of prostitution, when in fact it's the tiniest minority and the lowest rung.

Many women actually become prostitutes because they can't get enough good sex from prudish men. Including their husbands. Yes, a significant percentage of hookers are married. And, certainly, the vast majority of johns are married as well.

I suppose it depends who you talk to. One or two my friends have talked about their girlfriend/ wives like its boning a bag of potatoes. (No doubt their other halfs have similar compliments about them... lol)

I've seen some couples, and its like there's no "spark" between them. Not even older couples. You guess the husband is buying it on his work/golf trips. And you wonder if she's messing about with the "poolboy" (read "gardener" in England). Its like the marriage is financial, a friendship, sharing bringing up kids. But no passion for the other person. That sounds horrifying to me. So I wonder how the dynamic of it all will develop..
