I wouldn't give myself any advice at all. What kind of cop out is that man? You get advice and it slows you down just doing things. Everytime you get an idea to do something, you try to relate the advice to it to see if it's worth doing. My advice to you, the same as my dads back then when I left home is Do what ya wanna do.
This is obviously a sneaky ploy to get advice for yerself insanejester.

    love those sneaky kids,

hey mushroomdreams, were the same age. Where do I go to post gallery images?

And hey, I don't know about brown acid, the window pane was whoa in 1971. I wouldn't be eating any red mushrooms with white spots on them though.

    Insanejester,
The advice I would give to myself would be:
Don't be an arrogant ass. Don't stereotype anyone. Be open to learning from anyone--whether they teach you good or bad (by "bad" I mean some people are negative teachers; by knowing them you know what not do to, you know not to follow them). Forget labels--"liberal", "conservative", "cool",
"dorky". Try to see people as they are, and focus on genuine goodness. Stay away from people who are convinced of their own purity; they're liars and dangerous. Be honest with yourself, especially about yourself. Face your own good and evil. Reject your own evil but don't expect perfection from yourself or anyone else. Seek light. And above all, value love.
    Steve

Live every day as if it was your last, life passes by too fast to waste a single day. Be yourself and follow your own dreams.

sorry to offend. I ment to say "stay away from mean people that want to mess with your mind" Now if you like those kind of mind games, by all means go for it, but my experience is that you can live a more peaceful life by avoiding it.

  17. Actually, to be serious for once, my advice to my 18-yar-old self: "The drugs don't work."

He probably wouldn't have listened, but it might have saved him a lot of trouble if he had.

    Peace,

    CB.

  18. Sadly not. They can take you out of a situation in the short term, but they do bugger all to make that situation better when you come back down. It took me a long time to work that out. One lives and learns.

    Peace,

    CB.
