My funniest experience was going through security to airside at heathrow London and the security officer being puzzled by the luggage x-ray.
When I explained that they were my condoms, she casually asked if they were all for personal use. With 2 boxes, each containing more than 1,000 each, it was so funny.
Needless to say, they were for the 8 branches of Boots and the 200 vending machines at the airport. It was all part of an initiative by the department of heath to cut down the spread of HIV from other countries.

Well, shit, it wasn't that we had a lot to choose from....it was trojan enz or trojan unlubricated.....that was that at the drug store. They were thick as inner tubes and strangling....but it was that or nothing.

Cycle inner tubes were widely used as condoms during the early part of the 20th century in the UK. They were cut to length and one end sealed by melting with a lighter.
They were washed and reused for up to a year. During WW2. they came back into fashion, since condom factories were making bullets.
In 1994, Durex alone produced 167 million condoms for the UK. 80% of them were for the NHS clinics.

Yea, that was back in the mid seventies. It probably was a drug store trojan one size fits all. The one good thing that came out of the AIDs scare was the improvement of condoms. I didn't use a condom from then on until I started playing with other women in my sixties. by then big improvements had been made.

I first started using them in the eighties in the UK and basically durex was the only brand, though they did make several types, they were all one size just with different features such as ribbed, extra strong or feather lite, later you got mates that did do a couple of sizes. I have to say I have used them pretty much until I had been with my current partner all of my sexually active time, and have not had any real issues.
I have to agree the use of bananas and the like to demonstrate their use is not the most practical, if they didn't want to use real people why not anatomically accurate models of a erect penis

I know this is such an old thread but modern condoms are actually made smaller, mostly for the asian man who tends to have a less than average cock. This is in part to the condoms being made in Thailand and Vietnam (just check the Trojans - they tell you country of origin). Also, as AI comes into play more stress is put on the condom after it is manufactured. Some brands break easy, others are more durable. I hear the porn industry uses Crown.
