The poultry industry is also wasteful and hard on the environment. Chickens are raised in the most disgusting conditions of all factory farmed animals. They are much smaller than cows, pigs and sheep, so that means that more animals must suffer to produce the same ammount of meat.

Thats one of the things thats always confused me. I have several pollo and pesca-tarian friends (their doing it for moral reasons....or to look cool, i dunno) and ever since they started they've doubled up on their fish/chicken consumption. I have a feeling their doing more damage than their preventing.

Just don't bother approaching her about it. It sounds like she doesn't want to if when other people do she gets offensive about it. She probably wants to but can't get the will power to do so. So confronting her with it would probably just upset her b/c she knows if she really wants to be "vegitarian" she'll need to give up poultry also.

How does the meat industry destroy the envirionment? It's not that I don't believe you, I'm just wanting to know what they do.
