except "jeans" are made from cotton with indigo dye, made completely from america and india

The jeans we wear today were patented by levi strauss/jacob davis.

Jeans are absolutely NOT french.

I am not saying that the French were totally blinded. I am saying that EVERYONE, including the British and the US failed to appreciate Germany's threat, or a least saw it as a calculatable risk (ie buffer against communism, etc.). If the UK were part of continental Europe, they would have fallen just as fast and we'd all be calling them the pussies we now call france.
