I think you're confusing AMT with 5-meo-AMT. AMT, also known as IT-290 was used as an anti-depressent in the 60's, mostly in russia but there was some experimentation with it here in the US as well. AMT has a normal dosage range in excess of 30+ mg and has considerably fewer side effects than its methoxilated counterpart. Oh also it should be noted that AMT is schedule one in the united states, opposed to 5-meo-amt which is unscheduled to date.
