she's a trooper, though. she's gentle with anyone smaller than her, and she's a ferocious protector of the bullied, she'll wade in and try to rescue the downtrodden. it's nice to see she can get her back up and fight when she has to, though if there's someone there to protect her she crumbles.
oh, lord, i thought i was doing REALLY well curbing my foul mouth. but my daughter was standing by the truck in our driveway while we were loading up, and a loud bike goes by, and she says "mommy, i'm fuckin' scared." i thought "god dammit!" then said "i'm sorry you're scared, baby, but that's a bad mommy word, you don't say that." while dave choked on tears of laughter. sheesh. and another time, i was talking to my mother outside about how bad my day was going, and my daughter says "is it kicking your ass, mommy?" drat!
Trey loves his jumper too and does the exact thing. Runs forward as far and fast as possible lifts his legs and just swings and swings. He has decided he can't sit still at all either he used to love getting changed cuz he was 'nakie' but now that requires him to stop moving and screeches!!
She sounds a lot like Sunshine, KC, I gave her solids at 4-5 months, because she would scream for it, but she would have to suck to swallow, couldn't sit yet, and had no pincher grasp (I was inexperienced and young and many many docs in 86 were still giving babies solids at 2-3 months) and she got some nasty allergies. Of, course, I started with cereal (again, the young and inexperiened thing) and did wheat at 5 months (which turned out to be her worst allergy) Some babies do do OK on solids at this age, but, if it still may be a growth spurt. If she has to suck to swallow, or spits food or gets a red anus, WAIT, it is almost a sure sign of allergy (because that baby is just not ready for food yet.) Sunshine was a go go go baby, always moving around, screeching, wanting to play, never sleeping, ect. I think these babies are always "ready" for the next stage, whether they are physically ready or not.
yeah, she was MORE MORE MORE. she's so exciting. lol. my mother says that rice or oatmeal should be okay, or a banana or a yam. there's NO history allergies in my family. except my mother has a mild reaction to tomatoes. doesn't stop her from eating them, though. they're her favorite food.
does your mother have arthritis or joint pain? That's often the only sign of a tomato allergy. Most people don't put the two together. My littlest one is allergic to tomatoes. Just the tiniest bit of juice gets on her skin, it looks like a horrible burn.
well, not really. it gives her a foul belly and a rash. her joints are good, though. i'm happy for that.
