You know, I NEVER was able to figure out how to play Chess (and several folks tried to teach me). I always think of Chess players as being these genius-types, etc. And I ain't no genius. :)

But maybe it has something to to with the left/right side of the brain? I've always been good w/words. But I am hopeless at math. I've had several lovers that were awesome at Chess, but hated having to write a simple thank you note. Nevertheless, the sex was always amazing. So I guess opposites really do attract? Go figure. :sunny:

Today I got involved in a special project, redoing one of my Webpages of my travels with my grandson that I put together in 2004 when I was new to digital cameras and foto editing.

!. Took all the pix I had posted and saved them

    2. Edited those too large or too small and wrote info on each pic (most of day)

    3. Fought with the 'new' PhotoBucket and was unable to load my pix. Opened an account with ImageShack and loaded pix and saved the direct links for my next project involving HTML.

Here's a 4th - really thot about my compulsiveness and the fact that I stayed at this computer all day like I was getting paid to do this work. It is only for my pleasure and maybe some family who want to look at 9-year-old pix.

It rained Friday and Saturday. Had torrential rains yesterday even some local flooding.

BUT, maybe there is a god who meddles in the affairs of mortals because Zeus gave us a clear, hot, humid sunny day today for our Gay Pride Parade.

    So,

    1. I hung out at Gay Pride all day, enjoying the camaraderie of like-minded ppl (even if some were really weird - but it is all about celebrating diversity)

    2. Came home and edited my fotos of the day.

    3. Posted fotos and copied links.

Hey, glad to see you're back online.

I just got up and logged on so the only three things I've done is took a leak, made some coffee and checking forum boards.

How much is cheap (and what's the title?) Does your public library let you check out a DVD or two for free? Mine does. And I totally make the most of it. LOL. :)

    1. Finally posted something new on my blog.

    2. Had a long phone chat with a friend that recently had a hernia operation (ouch) :(

    3. Watched a really cool black and white movie from the 1940s: Born to Kill.

Descent (2005) was the movie and cost about $3 or $4 at a used video store. It is similar to The Core (2003) but not quite as good with lesser known actors in it.

I haven't really used our library that much, probably should go see what they have. All my used DVD stores had gone belly up and a co-worker just turned me on to one that is about 10 miles away in the direction of my movie theater, so the weather was decent this weekend and I made my initial visit. Nice selection of old movies (I got Robin Hood with Errol Flynn 1938 for my antique collection).

That is a good price. Safeway (of all places) sometimes has new DVDs for $5.99. Not current releases, but still some good movies. I bought THE ROSE last week. :)

Today, preparing for another thunderstorm day I planned to stay inside.

    1. Found some genealogy forms online and filled out my family ancestry back to the 18th Century so I could share with family around the country.

    2. It didn't look too rainy so I biked to a matinee of The Wolverine (2nd time seeing it)

    3. The sun came out so I stopped at the nude beach on my bike ride home and walked naked in the sun for a while.

IDK, sometime after 1975, for the same reason military traditionally keep their hair short. Was working with disturbed boys and psych patients. You don't want to go into hand-to-hand with a good handle on your head.
