Well I went to work which sounds boring but I drive a forklift very fast and recklessly with skill. Then I came home got drunk and high and screwed my friend and watched a funny movie, a good friday night in my mind.

Just be careful with that forklift so you can continue screwing around. :)

They do tend to fall over on too sharp turns.

Thunderstorms off and on, so not biking weather. No movies opened this week anyhow so I stayed in all day.

    1. Worked on my Webpages, deleting dead links, adding new ones, adding pics and content.

    2. Did several rewrites back and forth with an editor on a piece to go in The Miami Herald about my history in Miami.

    3. Transcribed my wife's biography that I found (It was typed on a manual typewriter in the '80s)

    Okay, so I cheated: I did 4 things . . . ;)

    1. Hooked up my computer. :sunny:

    2. Shopped at Safeway.

    3. Watched a DVD (Harold and Maude). :)

    4. Wrote a haiku about the movie:

    HAROLD AND MAUDE

    Harold has no friends
The grave is a friendly place
    Maude won't let him go

37 LPs! Damn, I hope it was a good sale. :sunny: When I moved to the Pacific Northwest, I gave my LP collection to the Salvation Army: We're talking more than 500 albums. Wish I had given it a bit more thought. :(

P.S. BTW, I tried to say I liked your post (thumbs up), but somehow wound up with a thumbs down! Sorry about that. I really do think it's a good post, etc.

    Happy 68th Birthday, Shale!! :sunny:

Plus you wrote an essay all about it. Now how cool is that! :2thumbsup:

It's raining a lot here, so no bike riding for me: Just a lot of haiku about books and movies I can't seem to get enough of.

Always awesome to find one of your posts. :)

I know what you mean about losing those old albums. I wish I had my old collection back. It was only about two hundred, or so, but I sure would like to have them back. The sale I went to was an ongoing one at a church in my neighborhood. Someone donated about 17,000 records to the church, which in turn has been selling them off and on for the past twoi months. Yesterday, everything marked $1.00 to $5.00 wqs marked down to a buck. Everything $6 to $10 was marked $2.00, and anything over $10 was marked $3.00. I spent $38.00 on a stack of albums with most being in very good to excellent condition. They still have thousands of records to sell, but I don't think I will go back for the next round because from what I was seeing yesterday, just about everything worth listening to (in my opinion) had been sold.

Wow, he's really cute! Lucky you! And you both look so happy together. I totally love to read/write essays. I've read way too many poems for comfort. ;)

You got a good deal. :sunny: Some of these used CD and LP places charge up to $15 for a second hand copy of some of the same albums I gave away to the Salvation Army. I had a lot of classic rock albums from the 1960s. And a lot of them are hard to find on CD. Plus many of the older albums had awesome art on the covers: Like Cheap Thrills (Big Brother and The Holding Company). It's just not the same on a CD. Sort of like trying to appreciate a masterpiece on a postage stamp.
