2c-e vs. LSD

i might have still be coming up at that point, but i never really got very far with it. it was nice - a very subtle, mellow body high with rolling waves of light euphoria. a possible increase in empathy. no hints of visuals open or closed eye. slightly musically enhancing. hardly noticeable without pot, but that might illustrate my problem with weed. it was 525 mg, but that might only be 25% mescaline, 75% other alkaloids. i think i'll take ~750 mg next time...then i'll have 935 left. or i could do 775, and then have two 455 mg doses, maybe one for a friend (they usually don't need as much as me) and one for a combo with 2cb LSD or 2ce. i was thinking about trying my DMT today too.

so was the 3 hoffmans as strong as the 7 WoWs? or is that your 2nd strongest trip?

3 hoffmans was nice! what was your setting? i took mine in the woods by a stream. i'll only do acid on a camping trip or something like that, and i think i'll save mescaline for similar occasions. they are just too precious to be used at my apt.

my stronger LSD trips (in order) have been on 4 WoWs, 1.4 "red" shivas, and 3 hoffmans.
also my 1st trip on one white blotter was quite strong :sunny: as well as my early trips with black and blue beetle (the insect) blotters. i think they were some of the more potent blotters i've had. part of it could be that i was new to LSD, but i shared those with people that said it was the best they ever had, and it was strong enough to turn two of my good friends off from LSD.

If you can, you should wash your mescaline, for a more accurate dose.

It must not have THAT much mescaline, because as I understand it, that much pure mescaline should be fucking INTENSE, and 700+ would be close to dangerous.... I mean, of course you know this, and of course it should be fine with your mixture, but it might be interesting to try pure mescaline instead, and to see what kind of ratio of your material is actually mescaline.

*edit* bolded THAT didn't mean to imply "less than 25%", just to imply it must be kinda low compared to the whole weight, as you obviously know.

 

The 7 WoW's was my strongest LSD experience, and the most visual, BY FAR. The 3 Hofmanns were about 1/2 as strong as the 7 WoW's, which leads me to believe that they were almost exactly the same potency.

My setting for the Hoffies wasn't the best. It was in the middle of the day, and my mom was upset that I had dosed them. I also had to go outside to smoke cigs and interact with my stepdad, which was difficult, but I pulled it off. lol It was an amazing trip though

 

I might write a little summary later when I'm off work or tomorrow or something. I'm still integrating the experience but as I said somewhere else, it was intense and deep, especially after the peak and I popped on here and read all those pages back and forth between Cheese, Cosmo, TNS, you.
Honestly, the trip wasn't bad, although there was alot of thought at the end, in the wee hours, about what place I want psyches to have in my life, and quite a few sad insights about recklessness and lack of respect for these things vis a vie the 4aco convo that's been happening.

Someone tripping tried to jump off a ferris wheel.
It really pains me to hear stories like the 4 ace one, kids driving on lsd and thinking its funny, recklessly doseing just to get fucked up. I was a teenager once, I'm no one to lecture. Still, it's messed up.
There was so much convo here in the last few days, I'm not sure where to comment, or if I even should.

^^i think it's obvious which side of the fence you're on with that. honestly, the people being irresponsible with drugs are most likely just irresponsible in general. can't be worried with the character traits of others...

Bummer, that sounds kind of disappointing. Mescaline is probably one of the most laid back psychedelics there is but I'm surprised you didn't get much more than that, I have limited experience with extract and it certainly didn't feel as full on as the whole cacti, still though I was getting brightened colors and what not on a smaller dose.

You could probably munch a gram and see how that goes if you're looking for a solid trip, the nausea from cacti kind of creeps up on you before the effects start getting overly intense though, dunno how the extract would be.

The acetate tek is supposed to draw a minimum of 40% mescaline but who knows how accurate that is.

 

that last part is good to know. i think i might dose ~925 mg next time then. that would put me at the upper limit of PiHKAL if it was in fact 40% pure mescaline. that would also make my 525 mg dose ~ 210 mg, which sound about right (maybe). then i'd be left with 755 mg though, which makes me think i should dose that first. or maybe mix it with some LSD or one of my go to 2cxs (for my 1st psychedelic combo)

i did get a slight hint of nausea that crept up on me in a quick way, but it wasn't bad AT ALL.

i may have gotten a little brightening of colors, but it was such a dull day that it was hard to notice. next time will be reserved for the sun and a whole day in nature.

 

I would say I like 2ce better, it is amazing, the only thing that is "electric" is my back, but the visuals are insanely vibrant and all slowly morphing together, everything is perfect and beautiful while im on it. Usually lasts about 8-10 hrs for me. Music is an ear fuck of godliness. Usually smoke a nice big bowl of danks while on it (highly recomended), you will feel like nothing in the universe could possibly be more chill and amazing.

 

wow 2ce better than acid.. is that possible!

 

I didn't like listening to music on 2ce or lsd on sitting down trips, however there was one trip where I was working out on 2ce and the music was unbelivably good. So I'm guessing if my body is engaged then music would sound great on either.

2ce felt like it focused on softening my ego whereas Lucy was a grand amplifier of what was in my subconscious. Lsd can be a fun and spiritual trip whereas 2ce goes right to unresolved business. 2ce bodyload can be uneasy (which I don't mind because it allows me to surrender my cockiness) while cid is smooth and clean. Nature walk on lucy was a beauty, never tried on 2ce. I loved expereinces from both tools.

I loved the easy going after glow from 2ce and the afterglow from cid gave me a momentum to make changes in my life for days after the experience.

Also I feel that people don't give 2c-i it's due respect, I had a few of my most intense trips on it. On a light dose it can feel like a candy psychedelic but a heavy dose will make you test what you are made of. Also visually it is the most intense compound I tried, everything waves and pulses, pure psychedelia. My humble thank you to Albert Hoffman and Sasha Shulgin, without them I would have been likely been stuck in the muck of mind.
