Its understandable to not know the facts with all the misinformation being sent out but I find it sad and interesting that you have his brother already strung up when the only thing said up to that point was he was wanted for questioning. Just because he wasnt home dosnt make him on the run. Hell im not home right now, if the cops were looking for me they would just wait till I got home.

There is still a saying I hear from time to time. "i have a gun so the king of england dosnt walk in my house. Sure there hasnt been a king for a long time but the saying gets passed down along with the gun mentality.

Question, what good would a nuclear bomb do me if a platoon of enemy soldiers docked on the beach thats a few blocks from my house? Oh yeah im supposed to sit back and hope they dont kill me until the army makes its way over here because its not spread to thin or anything.

OMG, I was badly shaken, hearing this news. This is the saddest incident which has happened most recently. Children of elementary class and their parents, oh man. I cannot imagine what they would be going through at the moment. This world has become so strange and unpredictable.

 

Its not the guns
REOPEN the Closed State Mental Hospitals.... and remove drug abusers from prisons ....and put everyone with any mental issues in the mental hospitals...... Its time to stop ignoring the mentally i'll...... As a 12 yr old i was put in one for gender identity disorder and met many people who today roam the streets or suffer in prisons... Its inhumane not to deal with mental illness. ....Many teens and young people need to be evaluated.... Many drug users need help not prisons. ...SHIFT the money from prisons to mental hospitals ....and get our youth some much needed help!! .....Many parents can't get their children help unless they can get the youth to admit to being suicidal..... Many youth won't admit it..... Its better to commit people and check them out for a month or two verses having no way to evaluate them. ..... I would rather see abuse of mental patients verses children being abused or murdered. OPEN THE MENTAL HOSPITALS AGAIN ..

Yes many lifers will get moved to group homes which is good and better than jails..

Put any youth in for at least a 30 DAY Commitment and any adult for at least 5 days

Also give anyone who goes thru a mental evaluation a bill of mental health when released and proven sane.. That would remove the stigma

Controlling guns is not the problem.. the high standards to getting someone committed is the problem.. one has to be a threat to themselves to be committed.. that is wrong..

Our health system would rather not pay for help and rather they go to prison so the taxpayers pay for it not the insurance industtries..

Prisons are also big business and we taxpayers pay for it while rich get richer making $ on the suffering of the mass population

Demand they reopen state mental hospitals.. yes some may be wrongfully committed but it is far better than the mass murders being committed

I think that a similar kind of incident also occurred in USA before, when some guy entered a university and killed (I believe) some 12 odd PhD scholars and stuff and then he committed suicide on the spot. That was a mentally retarded person's act and this one is too.
