TwoDogs, much respect to you! I joined up on this forum today and I'm really amazed at some of the stuff I'm reading. Glad to hear your living the dream.
Hey two dogs! Right now i'm visiting friends pretty close to prescott, i will be here a few more days until tuesday... its funny because i was just looking back a few pages again at that last set of pictures you posted.. i've traveled like those very same roads this past week.. very nice area indeed.. i want to save a few more thousand before getting out here permanently, just to have some sort of financial cushion should any unforseen and costly things arise.. so i think i will take this summer to continue saving some cash, and get out here in the early fall. looking forward to it! the sunsets here are absolutely unbelievable.. even in your "winter"! it will be a very welcome change, because in new york you really barely ever see the sun for like the 4 months of bitter winter.. here winter is really just a toned down, mild summer
Howdy Two Dogs ... looks like I do some wandering in your neck of the woods. I'm down in Why at the moment, heading your way as soon as it warms up a bit more. Unlike you I don't work anymore, though. Had enough of it. High-fives to you.
I have silently been enjoying your posts over the last year. Thank you for the memorial. My condolences.
I have had this dream for years (i know evryone says that) i have lived in my truck for a while and loved it but did not have enough space in my little bazda b2200 shortbox with a canopy. I have since (reconformed) into regular society but am still looking to get back out there. My country is Canada and my province is BC. I love it there and could only imagine living a few other places in the world. I am currently living in a basment suite with and cant stand the walls closing me into the same routine day in and day out. I want to get back on the road. You have spent more than my entire life on the road and hold my dream possible. my only two problems are i have a stupid car loan that i owe $12,000 and my mom want me to join the army. The car loan is a small issue compared to the Army one. I have no choice its eather join the army or stop getting a cheap place to live (200 per month) So naturally not wanting to kill people and being my own person i see no other choice to go out and hit te road. My tiny car is not big enough to even sleep in. My next choice would be a cargo van but being bc canada i will have alot colder weather to deal with. My question is what sort of insulation would you suggest. i know you are using foam stuff but you where saying you had some chilly nights. have you come across any other substances short of fiberglass insulation?
Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend you have my sincere condolences. At least two spot got to live a very long, exciting, and interesting life that few dogs, let alone people, get to experience.
Yeah that tombstone was saddening, but it seems like he had the best 14 years of life a dog could have though because of you.. RIP Anyway, I'm really intrigued by this whole outdoor living scene. I've always been into nature, your post really brings me back to about 7-15 years old when I used to love exploring urban area's, going into abandoned factories and the sort. I know first hand that conviction and awe that comes from a fine night or day of scenery.. and would love to relive it eventually. So here's a few questions I'd really appreciate your response to - Where and how do you make insurance payments? How much is it? Have you ever had to deal with your van breaking down or other serious impairments? How easily did you find that gold? And how much did you make off of all that? Where do you find stuff for swampmeets? What do you do about personal hygiene? Is it easy to make sure that you really don't smell at all and get a proper bathing session? How? Do you smoke marijuana by any chance? Also how big were these racing rocks? It's hard to tell by a photo alone. You said you doubt someone would just lift one up and take it away.. how big were they? in weight would you say too? Thanks for the follow-up whenever you find time. Happy travels man. I really enjoyed what I looked through in this thread and I'm surprised you're still keeping in touch 3 years later. God bless.
rest in peace, two spot. i'm sorry for your loss. i have always enjoyed reading your messages on here and i find your experiences and you as a person to be so inspiring. eace:
