Nikki Haley is interesting and Liz Cheney has the most integrity out of any of the current crop but unfortunately has ZERO chance for the nomination

This is a hard one to call. We need to emphasize honesty (Trump is out), integrity (Most Republicans are out), Enthusiasm for the future (Biden is out), Optimism for the future of our country (Take your best guess). Possible choices for me are: Mitt Romney for the Republicans; Adam Schiff for the Democrats. A long shot is Pete Buttigieg, because he is young, seems to have common sense and advocates equality and freedom for all. Are we ready for a gay president? Sex scandals are unlikely with a married Gay.

I wish Gavin Newsom would join the race. He would absolutely annihilate the orange buffoon.

That's easy. I'm voting for the people that want to give 8th graders an education and free school lunches, not the ones who want to force them to give birth to their rapist's babies.

Do you live in California? The country will never support a Big Spending Liberal like Newsom. When he became Governor we had a a budget surplus. Now six years later we have out of control deficits, and high income taxpayers are leaving the state as fast as they can. Newsom has virtually given billions away to Illegal Immigrants, the homeless from Texas and Florida, and other riff-raff who do not work. Now our schools are virtually bankrupt, and have been taken over by African American Activists, Pro Palestinian Muslims, anti Law and order advocates.

Biden has done a lot of good for this country. I cannot understand his low polling numbers.
I also cannot understand Trump's high polling numbers... but I try to not pay attention to polls too much.
Kennedy is a fruit basket that his family won't even support - I have loved the Kennedys for years, but not RFK, Jr. I was raised in a home that I considered to be moderate Democrats.

Pete Buttigieg would have my vote - but he won't run yet. Maybe some day, and I think he would be an excellent president.
Gavin Newsom has caught my attention - I've been told he will run.
A lot can happen in the next few months.

    On the Republican side?
Liz Cheney has done a great job of speaking out and keeping with her goal of keeping Trump out of the Oval Office.
Chris Christie has done an equally great job. Do Republicans like either one of them? Probably not, if I like them, even though I do not like their voting records and policy endorsements. I think they, along with Nikki Haley, would serve us well once they got in office.

I am told that voting for Biden is a big mistake, but if the election was held today and I had to choose between the currently declared candidates - he would have my vote.
Similar to others here, I will never vote for Trump. Most Republicans will not get my vote either. And here's the thing. I used to be a moderate Republican - these last wild years have caused me to shift left of center quite significantly.

SO I am curious. A lot of people are saying they would support someone like Liz Cheney or NIkki Haley. But Why? Thye are massive warmongers by their own admission. Just because they oppose Trump doesn't seem to be a good enough reason.

@Scarecrow13 it wasn't that long ago that Liz Cheney was a strong, conservative Republican.... which means, she still is. She may speak out against a majority of the Republicans she once worked with, and who once admired her, and did what she told them to do - but her stand for the Constitution and her criticisms of Trump have made her appealing to many people who would have never liked a thing she said. She is the same person she always was, except she has been weathered by the shock of her own party's downfall.
Nikki Haley could become the Republican candidate in 2024 but if you listen to her stump speeches, she is no better - she has strong right-sided, conservative, and some even back to the 50s mentality, I saw a political cartoon who labeled her as NiKKKi. She may have removed the confederate flag from her state capital, but I don't think it's too far off to add an extra K to her name.

and worst of all - three election cycles with Trump as the top candidate of the Republican party. who would ever have imagined this nightmare scenario?

Cheney has demonstrated that she has integrity. I don't like her policy views, but she does stand up for the constitution.

Nikki Haley is just another wolf in sheep's clothing who is afraid to criticize Trump as it would hurt her quest for power.

How has Cheney stood up for the Constitution more than any of the others?
