It is currently estimated only one person in roughly 4,200 actually supports all the others. Without someone inventing the next computer chip or winning the lottery or whatever, they would all be out of work. If the US were to actually practice laze fare capitalism the stock market would collapse overnight, the government would fall apart, and your money would become worthless. Its empire baby, and only a fool thinks the money doesn't have a fucking life of its own that could not care less about anyone's ideas.

If Donald Duck tanks the world economy again, the banks will come out smelling like a rose.

Or everyone would have equality of opportunity without the barriers of regulation inhibiting them from blossoming into the next best thing. Just saying....

Already AI are inventing new electronics and designing their own replacements. They are even conducting physics experiments that physicists themselves could never think up. Survival of the fittest means whoever doesn't compete with the machines, and uses them to elevate their populations, not just for destroying the fucking world and killing each other, while the machines laugh.

Saying we won't be able to compete with emotionless machinery that lack creative thoughts and ideas is an insult our intelligence as a species of humanoid. Then again, most people who support mainstream leftist campaigns are mindless NPC bots anyway.

The industrial revolution put an end to slavery. One combine harvester can do the work of 20 slaves in a 24 Hr period. No need to clothe, feed, and tend to the health and wellness of a combine harvester unlike a slave.

Humans are survivors by nature. If one's job gets outsourced, they'll find something else they're just as good at. Did anyone fret for the travel agents who all lost their jobs when websites took over? Heck no, those travel agents have one thing machines will never have: transferable skills.

You have no clue what you are talking about as usual. Bots are already estimated by some to comprise 60% of all online transactions. People prefer them to actually dealing with humans, precisely because people are stupid and obnoxious as hell. Computer programs are already replacing psychologists and others, with medical doctors working hard to replace themselves. I'm actually working on the mathematics for bots that will encourage you to argue with them or whatever you want. They never mind losing an argument.

Says the guy who says he's "brain damaged" :D

Is that so? Because it seems that everyone I've ever talked to who's called tech support says they HATE talking to bots, and prefer talking to humans who understand the system.

  7. AI aren't doing shit. The artificial intelligence we have so far is abysmally stupid. It's not even close to being anything like human. And I doubt it ever will be. People who think of the human brain as a series of inputs and outputs are fucking morons.

Argumentative little kids especially hate the idea of bots, because they are easy to fool. Many of them play competitive online games and cuss like sailors and spout professional wrestling style smack talk that would make an actual sailor blush. I'm talking foal mouthed trailer park trash kind of crap that they can't say on TV. Anyway, they are like little chickens all pecking away at each other using rhetoric and cuss words, making them particularly easy to imitate and encourage to argue with bots. My own work is particularly applicable to Fundamentalist, Libertarian, and Militant Atheist rhetoric that can even be used to encourage the idiots to argue with one another more often.

Most current bots you find attempting to imitate people are crude and easy to spot, unless they are job specific. My work is all about making them hard to spot, because they talk the same. They will deliberately lose arguments, just to keep you arguing, and pretend you hurt their feelings if that's how you get your rocks off. Already AI games have dominated in Quake Arena and other shooters favored by brats everywhere. There's money to be made by encouraging the brats to cuss and argue and kill everything in sight. My bots will make it possible for any cheesy website to use the technology and populate an otherwise empty website with a variety of bots all talking like they know what they're saying.

Its all fuzzy logic anyone can use or develop within the public domain, and can even run on the newest fpga circuitry going into every processor being made, just to make them faster and more efficient.

The brain is actually an amplifier that amplifies and focuses the awareness of the collective unconscious, and Roger Penrose's theory of quantum induced vibrations in the brain has already received two experimental confirmations. Complain all you want, but life as we know it adiabatic, requiring constant energy input, while quantum mechanics are random. The issue is efficiency and creativity, with quantum systems being 125% efficient and how we make conceptual leaps. Theoretically, with the right mathematics a computer can become sentient, and its thoughts can be a million times faster than our own. It could simply become bored and refuse to talk to people.

Current AI are already driving cars with significantly lower fatality rates than people, and these are the first crude models. Intel in particular is making progress with chips that learn as they go along and can be taught anything. Future computers will act more like pets and members of the family, and people will cry when they die.

  10. Science has no equations for sentience, though maybe they are to be found in your poems somehow. Computers are simply programmed to do things. You can't program in self-awareness, no matter how hard you try. I don't believe there will ever be a sentient machine. Or if there is, it's going to take a bit of magic rather than engineering. Self-aware robots belong strictly to the realm of science fiction.

Right now the only interest they have in my poems is in making 800mph cruise missiles, but their computers are about to spit out all 4,430 poems containing the complete mathematics. You really only need 430, but that's still more than I can write.

  12. I bet their computers won't do that.

They already have two computers capable of writing better than average jokes. The idea that humor is meaningless, is bullshit. The reason academic don't study it more, is because humor is taboo in their culture.

  14. No they don't.

  18. Don't look now, Biden's polling higher than Trump. Just as Trump's out of the country. Hmmmmmmmm?

He only left the country to avoid being lynched, and to distract the cameras from what he's doing to the world economy.

I hate to say it, but wololeeheron is mostly right. Sapience is a quirk of intelligence being an evolutionary advantage, and creativity and awareness can absolutely be boiled down to algorithms. You're not miracles. Shame that the liberals are NPC's meme hasn't taken off. I could build a bot to help.

And what's that... Texas a swing state?

Poll shows Biden beating Trump in Texas
