People don't waive away their rights to say or think whatever, because you or a meme puts it like that. It's a rhetoric trick. That was the point im trying to convey :)

Instead of making empty remarks like that, why not tell me where I go wrong here:

  6. Imagine trying to be a centrist in this environment.

  7. Yea, but look how "dramatic" it was. See, that's what so much of this is about, not real politics, but contrived drama.

  8. Because you don't think the world will end in 4 years because of Trump. Again, a lesson in drama. The left has been invaded by thespians.

  9. The right, by carnival barkers.

To be fair: i am in the luxurous position of being in the 'old' world ;)
But on the other hand I also I see reasonable americans come to similar conclusions as me regarding the status quo, the two party system and a need to look for change somewhere else (than relying on the DNC).

  11. If I think a democrat can fix the logjam that is Washington, I'll vote for them. I voted for Obama because I was sick of the status quo. I also wouldn't have voted for McCain anymore than I'd vote for the Clintons, fhhhuuuuuu-ck those people. The Bush clan too. Obama set us up for Trump.

He squandered two terms playing divisive popularity and social games while little improved for the most vulnerable Americans. Healthcare was a fiasco because the infrastructure couldn't support the dream (and clearly still can't). In a perfect world Obama would have built the wall to "save" "his people" and Trump would have fixed healthcare. We'll get neither.

Wasn't Obama horribly obstructed in his efforts to improve and change stuff like healthcare. I think he was willing to invest in the infrastructure.

Not true. My criticism was of his knee jerk belief of a charge made by a woman of dubious credibility during an election campaign--much like buying into Pizzagate. It goes way beyond the Democrat vs. Republican thing. "Believe all women" is a dangerous idea, undermining the principle that people should be presumed innocent until proven guilty. It's a slogan circulated by feminist ideologues for obvious reasons, and given legs, has the potential to sow social havoc. It might seem poetic justice that Biden should now become the target of the movement, since he helped to give it credence. In fairness to him, he said such women should be heard, which they certainly should be--not necessarily believed. It's okay for an individual voter to decide Biden has a guilty look or this woman is credible and not vote for him. It's another thing to circulate the idea on social media in such adamant terms. The charge against Kavanaugh came up in an appropriate setting--a Senate hearing on the appointment of a judge--under oath, and with an opportunity for direct and cross-examination of both parties.

Btw: 6eyed, you just liked this post:

, but didn't you vote for Trump out of annoyance of PC jibberish? How is that a constructive approach?

Correct! He was blocked at every turn by Republicans who got together before took office agreeing to do just that.

Trump does not represent the status quo of the Republican Party. He defied the norms, and the republican (and democrat) establishment gave it all they got against him. Then it got to the point where all the McConnels of the party had to tap out and say, “If ya can’t beat him, join him.” I’m against partisan politics and voting for the lesser evils. I voted 3rd party or wrote-in every election except 2016.
