It's good that Bernie's ideas have a legacy. It's just a matter of responsible handling of those ideas, which Bernie may overestimate.

Biden will be pressured in the least bit to follow through on some of them, but will guarantee that they fall within the grip of the oligarchs.

But someday we'll be forced to grow up. Fame, prestige, and celebrity aren't everything.

 

Here in Republican and conservative Indiana lots of people are unhappy with Trump. Many of my neighbors who are conservative Christians will not be voting for him, because of morality and the economy. In 2016 they did not know Trump. Now they do.

 

Who will they vote for? Biden? He's no moral superior.

 

In the end we're just left with all of us commoners without a voice. Do you think Biden understands? I guarantee you he doesn't. Grotesquely wealthy as Trump is, he understands better. Deep in his heart, Trump knows what it is to be a freak.

 

You make some good points. I'm not excited about Biden. I wanted Elizabeth Warren (first choice) and maybe Amy Klobuchar, maybe Cory Booker. I really liked Andrew Yang for his fresh ideas. I agree Trump is wealthy but don't think he knows or understands common people. He may have had some quick wit during his younger years; but, today he is fat and stupid. He can't string a complete sentence together. He makes shit up every day. So, that brings us back to Biden. And Biden does have a tendency to miss-speak, most likely related to his stuttering problem. But, Biden is a law school graduate, so he's much smarter than Trump. Also, Biden is thin and Trump fat. Women voters are going to vote for the thin and better looking guy in the end.

 

Andrew Yang was cool. I just want to go in a fresh direction, win or lose. Maintaining the status quo just reminds me of Vogon poetry.

 

He who laughs last last best, but in this case we'll all be crying. Politics is real and earnest, not a reality show made for TV. What new crisis will Trump fumble badly and get people killed in the process? Civil war? Terrorist attack? Nuclear war?

 

He may understand, but he doesn't care. No sympathy for freaks!

 

Biden doesn't care, either. We have no one to set a good example. Just a glittering facade that you all buy into, hook, line, and sinker. You'll find yourselves exactly where we already are: depraved and alone.

But it doesn't matter, so long as there's food on the table. The truth does not matter.

 

That's the thing about politics. You don't always get what you want. Trump vs. Biden is what we'll get. In terms of relative evils, nolle contendere. Sit it out, and the choice will be made for you.
