Obama visited our little town years ago and stayed over night at the downtown hotel . Early that evening the
Tea Party staged a march . So I borrowed the big drum from The Peace Center and had a seat on the main
street . boom boom . This rather confused everyone - the folks protesting were perplexed and the Secret Service , too .

    Dang crazy old hippie !

When my backpack got investigated for a bomb (in public view), the story didn't even make the local paper . I did , though ,
find a photo of The Drum and I on the internet .

lmao... No way! This was in the 'burbs. No one there would... oh, yeah I suppose that could be it. :nomouth:

This was in the days when my schizophrenia was surfacing too, so I was a little bit on edge. It may have been just people walking their dogs - not Gestapo, just walking, and I misinterpreted their behavior.

But I remember it like that anyway somehow. :worried:

Math and social sciences are fundamentally linked SoulCompromise, it would be meaningless conjecture otherwise.

  6. But that's not who the Tea Party represented. It represented people far lower on the scale who were being taxed heavily so the upper tiers could get regular tax breaks, because wealthy.

Seriously, if you think the middle class is the enemy, the upper class has succeeded.

No it didn't. The Tea Party was an astroturf movement created by big tobacco and the Koch Brothers.

As for the rank and file, they tended to be predominately white (only 1% African-American), male, from the South or West, and wealthier than the average American.

Depends on the occupation. Math is always important and is very transferable from profession to profession

And the great thing about studying math is that it doesn’t have a biased political narrative. Unlike sociology and soft sciences, math is undebatable and irrefutable

I have seen close relations between Tea Party and KKK and the Klan babies. They hold the same ideology in their hearts.

it's nice to hear you say that, 6.

I just bought my first step book toward the math major; one for precalculus and trigonometry, along with the final step in getting my associates in sociology, the social psychology access codes (textbooks... who needs 'em! :) ).

So, I think California is counted now (like 98%) and Bernie is still over 100 behind Joe Biden. :(

EDIT: Here they are with the delegate counts... by CNN. View 2020 primary and caucus results

Maybe in terms of what plays out in the political arena but there is debate and refutation over math.

People manipulate numbers for their own agenda all the time. Numbers dont lie... the people citing them do

Oh yah and there is that, so I retract my previous statement. Pratically every statistical political analysis involves bias.

But would you consider that to be real math? Or skewed data from journalists, sociologists, and pollsters?

    I agree.

  16. Indeed! The only way I got through 6-Sigma certification was a book called "How to Lie with Statistics". All my shit balanced out!
