That old chestnut. Someone else has a better understanding of voters based on their geographical proximity to those voters. Which of course is why exit polls are so accurate

Then tell us, great simian seer, what is the source of your superior insight into the average African-American voter's racial attitudes toward mixed-race candidates? Of course there will be some who question whether or not Kamela's "really black" because the African parent was Jamaican. These are mainly the kinds of people who questioned whether or not Obama was really black because his father was Kenyan and his mother white. Being part Jamaican, part Tamil would probably expose her to at least some of the experience of African-Americans in a majority white society. In the USA, outward appearance is what people tend to go by. Harris is darker than Joe. Elizabeth Warren has high cheek bones, but couldn't really convince people of her Native American heritage. Southern states used to have the "one drop" rule. She's certainly a person "of color", and I haven't heard you question her gender.

How many people care about this stuff, and how much should we care about them? Nobody really knows. If Harris were the nominee, maybe Biden's strong support with African-Americans would get her through. Nobody's ever accused him of being African-American, and they seem to like him, partly because of his association with that "half-breed" Obama. I personally think the obsession with racial balance in a presidential or vice-presidentialcandidate is absurd. Affirmative action is the least of my worries in this particular decision. Intelligence, experience, compassion, competence, and character are the things I look for--all of which are sorely lacking in the White House at the present time. Trump and Pence are opposition--both very white.

I don't think there has ever been a vote cast because of who VP was. 1/5 presidents haven't finished out there term so it might make sense, but nobody really pays attention to the JV pick.

I don't know... VP gets in the spotlight. If Biden wins he will be the 15th VP to become lord supreme commander. I could see someone voting for him because they want to see is running mate in office in the future

At this point, the DNC is gonna have a hard time trying to hide Biden's brain fog.

It's be wise to avoid press conferences and human interaction on the campaign trail, as someone might film his next fuck-up on their iPhone.

Their best bet is to just bank on all the fond memories of the Obama years

He's been that way as long as I I can remember. Voters have to make the decision how important thinking on one's feet is when weighed against the alternatives of Sanders and Trump. At least Biden doesn't think he knows more than the generals and scientist, and is likely to take the advice of experts.

Just to refresh your memories, our incumbent President, the Donald, a self-described "Stable Genius", told us last July 4 about how the American revolutionaries guarded the airfields from the British, seemed to think the abolitionist Frederick Douglas was still alive, said North Korea used to be part of China and that Canada invaded Washington, D.C., said that Belgium is a beautiful city, thought the Kansas City Chiefs were from Kansas, said the WHO estimate of corona fatalities is wrong cuz his hunch tells him so, etc. Biden isn't that bad! It should be an interesting debate. Bring your popcorn!

  14. Actually, I'm betting they claim it to be some kind of "code", yea, that's right, he's using "code names". CNN will hire some "expert" to decode about 60% of it, to maintain some level of mystery. After all, "Corn Pop" was code for Biden agreeing to hire Orville Redenbacker's granddaughter to work for the campaign (and the promise of a cabinet position).

  15. Who can Biden possibly select as a running mate? Gabbard is probably a good choice. Abrams will be a huge mistake as is this nonsense about courting (mastur)Beto. He might be safe with Amy, but the rest of America barely knows her.

The best actual match would be Marianne Williamson, of course. But I don't see that happening.

Still pushing Gabbard, eh, the darling of the radical right, trailing in the single digits with one delegate (from her native American Samoa, compared to Bloomberg's 4 delegates). Also, if courting African-Americans is a big deal, how is a Poynesian going to do that? She'd be a "good choice" if we want Trump to win the election.

  19. I'd rather have someone better. But so far, that isn't happening. I'm disappointed in Trump. As a non-establishment president he could have shown a substantial spine and instead put his faith in freaks like Sessions and Pence. I imagine Trump using a dart board system to make those selections.

Dude, the only reason I voted for Trump is because he is not The Clintons. Watching him make fools of republicans and democrats is just icing and a cherry.
