He does have the middle of road and older vote. Most of them now would probably say something about him being the only "safe" choice and he's not a communist like Bernie. I wish an actual far left politician would debate Sanders. Just so people could see what the extremes of the views really are. It's not extreme to suggest education and healthcare as basic rights. It does not mean that an entrepreneur can not own a 12 bedroom home. You will never explain this to a certain sort of American voter.

Biden has the support of the party and since day 1 of Obama the media was saying he should run for president. People are conditioned to accept him. He didn't really do much as VP and was kind of a meme. People assumed he was nice and thought like Obama. Now he speaks and we dig into his past and it's not good. They did the same thing with Hillary. Since she was in the white house before and she seems so nice you have to pick her. Because he's not Trump and he has business friendly vague opinions he has a lot of voters.

Democrats are afraid to have an opinion on anything. They hint that gun crime is bad and racism is bad. But most of the time their concern is the moderate voter and not pissing them off. Republicans never make any effort to compromise. So everything just goes to the right. For example gun laws. If they had the Democratic view it would not be safe to have politicians who are pro NRA. That would mean the Democratic voter would not be willing to support other issues. So let's have some gun laws . It would be unsafe to mix too much of our religion into reproductive rights so we can't really say abortion is bad. They don't do these things do they? For all the right wing says views are pushed on that left tolerant culture actually extends to them. Even though so few people actually change which bathroom they want to use or want to own a Ar-15 we need some compromise to respect them.

Sanders is not willing to compromise on some issues and it's not acceptable to the right wing business Democratic party. He's not really a Democrat and I wish he would run as truly independent. That's not really possible in America he has to pick.
