It doesn't have to be like this though.

  2. Bernie might lose bigger, but only because that's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

"We can't support him, because he'll lose without our support." The truth, as I see it, is that the establishment, and all of their millions of minions who support them, simply can't stand being put on the same pedestal as "white trash America." Which is the American middle class, as far as they're concerned. And so many of the American middle class don't want to be put on that pedestal, either. Just like their leaders, they're at war with their neighbors, at war with their brothers, at war with everyone so that they can feel superior. I see it every day.

Bottom line, Bernie is one of us, and that makes them sick.

Well I dont know how to change it. I feel like something was taken from me. I dont know if it was the DNC or my fellow citizens but it feels like we were maybe on the cusp of real change and then got pulled back to the status quo.

Yes, the status quo is the problem. But citizens have made societal and political changes before. There just need to be enough that make a conscious effort towards it. And there seem to be a growing awareness that there should be some changes in the political system (as Sanders popularity for instance indicates)

I agree. Plus you could help share awareness on what should change. Enough people voting for it could be all that's needed! (likely not all though)

  8. What this election is proving is that the roots of the status quo grow deeper than many had thought. I honestly don't think the majority of people want to be all "lovey dovey" and look out for their fellow man, and this includes black people. We all say it, but when it comes down to actual effort, it's just another motto for another TV commercial.

What people want is to succeed, and success is identified with being superior to someone else. In the back of people's minds, it's there, the pettiness and the jealousy.

To improve the odds, one move at a time. Same as in the game of life.

Not exactly. In presidential races, a majority of the Electoral College wins, which in 2016 differed from the popular vote by 2.8 million more votes for Hillary than the Donald.

I’d never vote for her but she’s the only one on that side with a soul

uh, Tulsi is hardly "on the left" even tho she's running as a Democrat. She's the darling of right wing media and outspoken champion of the Assad regime in Syria. On this Forum, her main boosters are Six-eyed Shaman, WP, and (I gather) you. 'Nuff said.
