I can't speak on the acidotic state of blood thing she mentions but she is misinformed about the purpose of the masks in regards to the virus, which is a bit disconcerting given her profession.

The masks are used to limit transmission of aerosols and droplets which the virus travels in, so the size of the virus itself is irrelevant. Also, she's insinuating that the masks have been touted as personal protective equipment, that's not accurate. As I said, they are used to limit transmission, which is why there were recommendations to save N95 masks (which are PPE) for medical professionals.
