Last week China offered to send Doctors to america to help assist in any way they can, but Trump turned down the offer by President Xi Jinping

A few good things about the coronavirus.

    1. State schools are shut down, and parents are learning how to homeschool their kids

    2. News regarding politically correct cancel culture and hate speech has become virtually irrelevant

    3. People are realizing how wrong they were to mock doomsday preppers.

Exactly what China did, but everyone just copied Italy. Well, I doubt China paid them, but they did move all infected to a different, seperate area

High rise living in places like Milan, Madrid, New York you are more likely to have older generations living with grandkids who are less likely to follow quarantine, or already have it an are unaware. Repeated exposure gives rise to the more serious cases, otherwise it is just like another cold

None of the "experts" all around the world picked up on this. All this social distancing, not going to the footy is largely a waste of time.

Should have done what China did in the first place, seperate infected and high risk from everyone else. It was those in nursing homes, healthcare workers, elderly in densely populated areas that got pneumonia from being exposed several times over several days, get it once, get mild symptoms, whilst not fully recovered, get exposed again

Should have kept the school's open, that alone would have stopped 10% of the deaths, as long as their grandparents had moved somewhere else

Technically it’s not home schooling per se.

The Boston school system for instance is distributing about 20,000 Chromebook laptops to any student that needs one.
so they can take their classes online, and download homework assignments.

If you want to know who is behind Gravitas on India's wion channel btw

"The founding team included Rohit Gandhi as editor-in-chief,[4] Mandy Clark, former CBS correspondent,[5] and Mithaq Kazimi, American media executive[6] as Managing Producers respectively. Known journalists included Saad Hammadi, Bangladesh bureau chief[7] and former correspondent for The Guardian,[8] Archith Seshadri, former CNN anchor[9] and Tathagata Bhattacharya, former editor of the CNN web edition."

Curiously right wing even though it was co-founded by a bunch of journos that worked for left wing CNN and Guardian in western countries

In the future when Hollywood makes movies that take place during this pandemic, they will not portray China's role in this problem accurately at all.

China owns Hollywood and the media. They'll rewrite history and control the narrative

: 41 year old Shawn Marshall Myers was arrested at his Charles County home in Maryland for hosting a bonfire with around 60 guests.
Myers had been warned days earlier to break up a party he was hosting

Colour it blue so no one noticed you are going bald ;)

Also, you know he is really in trouble when they use his middle name

Anyway, below a certain population density you are only in lockdown because anything other than a one size fits all message is too complicated.

High pop density areas, it's because they don't have the man power to cover it. Empty streets, A lot easier to rely on good Samaritans to phone in people they see on streets, Traffic and safety cameras, even drones and respond according. No reason people can't go outside as long as they don't form large groups; hence Sweden, your government doesn't trust you but the Swedish government trusts it's people to be sensible

409 deaths in the US today, that was the 5th day in a row where the total deaths was around 500 and didn't jump up. US is handling it

Coronavirus: Why Australia’s death rate is so low compared to other countries

Australia is on the “global forefront” in terms of testing for the coronavirus, with more than 230,000 tests already carried out across the country.

There are now more than 4500 confirmed cases of the virus in Australia, with 19 people dying from the illness and 50 in intensive care.

Health Minister Greg Hunt said these figures show the virus is having a very different impact here compared to other countries, with the death rate being less than 1 per cent of confirmed cases.

“That is indicative that the testing regime is capturing the significant reflective data for the country,” he said at a press conference this afternoon.

“Of those within ICUs, and in particular with ventilators, in the low numbers that we see – and all of these numbers will climb – but they are reflective again of the numbers. And it presents a very different picture to some other countries, where the lives lost represent not 0.5 per cent but 10 per cent of the cases.

“At this stage our numbers indicate that we are at the global forefront, we have a good

    picture of where we’re at.”

Why Australia’s virus death rate is so low

An investigation has been launched after a group of migrant workers were filmed being doused in a "chemical solution" by Indian officials.

They are understood to be migrants who returned to the city of Bareilly, in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh.

They are among millions who have returned to their home villages amid a nationwide, three-week lockdown.

As more than 25 million people are placed on a two-week lockdown in parts of Nigeria in a bid to curtail the spread of coronavirus, poor people in congested neighbourhoods are worried about how they will cope, writes the BBC's Nduka Orjinmo from the commercial capital Lagos.

"From where do we get the extra water to wash the hands you are talking about," asked Debby Ogunsola, 36, as she led me down a dark corridor towards her room in the Alapere area of Lagos state.

A lockdown in Lagos - the commercial hub of Nigeria, as well as the neighbouring state of Ogun and the capital Abuja - came into force on Monday night, following an announcement President Muhammadu Buhari that the fight against the virus was a "matter of life and death".

For Ms Ogunsula it will be difficult to remain indoors. She and her family live in one room in a block of 20, locally called Face-me-I-face-you because of their close proximity to each other.

There is no electricity, and when I visited, light was coming in through where a door should have been standing. Outside there were two toilets and bathrooms shared by all the families living in the 20 rooms.

A female police officer has allegedly been headbutted and spat on after trying to arrest a man and a woman who were on a closed Sydney beach.

The man has been charged after allegedly assaulting the officer during the incident at Maroubra beach about 11.20am yesterday.

The beach has been closed by Randwick City Council and lifeguards reminded the pair of that and the government’s social distancing guidelines.
