"Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has warned Australia “will be paying for years to come” when the COVID-19 crisis is over.

“That is the harsh reality of the spending that is required in this coronavirus crisis,” he told Today this morning. “But many other countries just don’t have the financial fire power that Australia has to respond.”

It's how we test, the social culture, and tourists. For example Italy is one of the top destinations for Europe. You also hug and kiss everyone there. It's better in Asia because those countries don't have individually. America and European freedom means you do what you want and others worry about themselves. In Asia you have an obligation to not make trouble for other people. So right away you listen to the government without it being a conspiracy. Most of the problem in America is people who care too much for their own freedoms to distance. After all all of this must be a plan to take something from them. So buy more guns and make sure to have that big BBQ all to show how free you are. And a shitty healthcare system where people can't seek treatment.

Clearly you don't know how economies work if you are on board with that nonsense. The impact on the economy is actually worse were everything open right now.

Italy virus fight plan wrong: scientist

Italy's measures to halt coronavirus contagion do not seem to be working and it should change its strategy by setting up centres to separate people with suspected symptoms from their families, a prominent Italian scientist says.

Italy, which has suffered the world's highest death toll from coronavirus, has been in nationwide lockdown for about three weeks, but in the past three days new infections have continued at between 5000 and 6000 per day.

The highest daily death toll since the outbreak began on February 21 was registered on Friday, with 919 fatalities, and the tally was only slightly lower in the following two days.

Andrea Crisanti, professor of microbiology at Padua University, said in an interview with Radio Capital that many of these new cases were probably people who were being infected by fellow family members at home.

Crisanti said instead of telling people with mild symptoms to self-isolate at home, the authorities should have set up centres to separate them from their families, as was done in China where the epidemic originated in December.

"Is someone posing the problem of why, despite all these restrictive measures, we are still seeing infections? Are they asking if all these people who are sick at home are infecting other members of their family?" he said.

"In our opinion, the infections are happening at home."

Here's an updated map for the state of Kentucky. There are 480 cases in total, but still no reported cases where I live, Graves county, in the far western end of the state. McCracken, Marshall and Calloway counties border Graves and each have at least one confirmed case of corona. I bet Graves gets its first case this week.

"Recreational and sporting shooters will no longer be able to buy ammunition and firearms until the COVID-19 emergency is over.

Police said applications for ammunition and permits have doubled in the past week, which led to the crackdown."
