Yeah so basically get fit at home is what I'm saying.

Pushups, crunches, practice healthy eating habits.

  4. Mate you need to think about this a little more clearly. You have your own government who is looking after you by paying you a small wage whilst you are in the social isolation mode.
This virus is so fluid that it changes rapidly by the minute.
Things are going to be paused for a while.

Dude isn't just The Donalds lapdog, he has other important shit to do.

This is an interview from 22nd March. Dude is like top expert dude, expert amongst experts. You can't just crash the economy for this, what is the first wave, otherwise a country is twice as fucked in the lead up to the second wave

    From the man himself:

"No, I don’t think we could say it’s a mistake or not a mistake. There is a discussion and a delicate balance about what’s the overall impact of shutting everything down completely for an indefinite period of time. So, there’s a compromise. If you knock down the economy completely and disrupt infrastructure, you may be causing health issues, unintended consequences, for people who need to be able to get to places and can’t. You do the best you can. I’ve emphasized very
emphatically at every press conference, that everybody in the country, at a minimum, should be following the fundamental guidelines. Elderly, stay out of society in self isolation. Don’t go to work if you don’t have to. Yada, yada, yada. No bars, no restaurants, no nothing. Only essential services. When you get a place like New York or Washington or California, you have got to ratchet it up. But it is felt—and it isn’t me only speaking, it’s a bunch of people who make the decisions—that if you lock down everything now, you’re going to crash the whole society. So, you do what you can do, as best as you can. Do as much physical separation as you can and ratchet it up at the places you know are at highest risk."

Hopefully we don’t see an increase in domestic violence due to rising tensions during these difficult times.

    Be nice to each other!

I hope everyone is taking this seriously.
What is everybody’s plan to keep occupied whilst in isolation?

It feels like the Senate must have known when they were writing the bill that there would be a reaction.

The reaction is reacting to language in the legislation. Any guesses as to what it might be?

The only reason that this thing isn't going anywhere is because there is a corporate bailout being railroaded.

They want no oversight. These loans would be private until something like six months later when they could be publicized.

What we learned from the big bank bailouts in 2008 was that corporations look out for their own interests. They will lay off their employees to remain a going concern. And they did! They fired everybody when the financial arena tanked. People lost their homes! They moved into RVs.

We don't want a repeat of that so we're trying to rework the legislation so that it performs oversight. :)

That's not what republicans want. They wanted this thing to go through fast and without incident.

I'm not sure what you think should be done differently.

I believe in oversight, man. I can't believe Mitch McConnell, the man running the senate, doesn't. It's reprehensible, and nobody even realizes what he's doing. He's refusing to add simple oversight to the legislation. That's all they want!

Democrats on the scene aren't without their faults either, and I admitted that I didn't think total student loan forgiveness was a good idea right now. Other aspects being introduced don't jump out as much as that one does.

Do you think there should be provisions to stop evictions?
