He doesnt go as far as saying those at high risk should be seperated en masse, but he does put the emphasis on those at high risk self isolating, whilst the younger people dont group in large gatherings, but do go out and about to build up herd immunity

Then about the 12 minute mark he talks about the likelyhood of another flare up, compares this to Sars 1, but this one is much more infectious, and you can tell by his body language he is not going to be surprised if there is. He then talks about the near certainty of at least a little "blimp" of another curve next flu season

Everyone needs to watch that video, its a bit more in depth than the usual 2 minute press conference ones you get of him

The trouble with Italy and France style lock downs is you are locking down kids with their families, with their grandparents, those that are high risk. There is no emphasis on those high risk "self" isolating. At the same time younger people arent building up herd immunity which makes it dangerous down the track

Italy has exploded. A mixture of an older population being more susceptible and a collapsing medical system unable to deal with the burden of existing and new cases.

 

I'm working by email in theory but our projects have really slowed down. but my partner is on the front lines. The concern is she will get sick because there is not enough medical supplies. I know she is helping people without it. That's just who she is but we are both likely going to get sick. She is hesitant to even be around me. That's what makes me the most sad. Like my best friend and love of my life can't be close to me. I'm very grouchy.

I am grateful to live with a government protecting the people. I feel like it could be much worse.
