Everything comes out of Asian so we shouldn't point the finger and blame them for emissions. They're being demanded to produce and produce they do and we can all afford it being built there. We'd not be able to do that if everything was produced in our own countries. Well, you know what I mean. small things.

I wish the earth would fight for itself a little more. Like instead of giving us "natual" disasters why doesn't it evolve and create a defense system to combat our emissions.

So have we concluded that it's just going to be America that goes under the ocean? Because it's bloody freezing here in EU! It is -16° bright and sunny under my pergola. everything outside is frozen. There's even frost freezing to other frost. I went outside to feed the rabbits this morning, I had to heat their drinking water up so it wouldn't freeze. I'd hate to their their lil tongues get stuck on the metal straw... I walked on the grass, sounded like I was walking on broken glass, crunch crunch of ice and frost.

 

It does. Trees absorb the carbon dioxide but the problem is people are cutting all the trees down. It's second line of defense is drowning the people cutting down all the trees.

China is also busy developing alternative energy sources. It's not like they're doing nothing about it. They acknowledge that even without global warming being real it is simply a neccesity. I guess having unrivaled dirty smog over some of your cities did ring some bells

Some might argue that global warming is not really happening and that this is a cycle of the earth that has gone on for ages. Global warming truly is a hoax.

There is scientific evidence to cooberate that. It is another political lie. One obama and his administration like because it puts money in his pocket. Has not really met main stream because the government wants to keep it out of the media. I am sure you can find documentation on this. Global warming is a hoax ... and perhaps some weather manipulation is happening to make people believe it.

The government owns every single news station and paper or some supporting group with an agenda. I know that Canada does not have free speech, it was killed by the first Trudeau when he put a sick man in prison for a month because he wrote sbout the first Trudeau abuse of tax payers dollars. let's see what damage the second one does. Brilliant. The guy who got in on talking about change, a change no one knows about and because he has a nice smile. A fucking part time drama teacher who never really held a job and says he loves chinas way of doing politics, admires it.

What is not a lie is non renewable resources being raped from the earth all for our own advancement. Helium is a perfect example. The bill the us government passed to get rid of all its helium reserves by the end of 2018? This caused stock holders in helium to sky rocket.Now you might say, who needs helium, but I will tell you. MRI machines need helium. The cost of helium has sky rocketed as well as many other medical devices, cost to us them goes up, your medical fees rise. yet helium is wasted on balloons. You can not create your own helium. Impossible. This entire panic of fossil fuels is designed to make people panic and stocks to rise. China likes this.

China had to paint its grass green for the Olympics it is so polluted. They have no bees and can't grow crops, people are dying in china and yet you are defending china and talking about the good they are doing for the world. They manipulate currency and have also worked towards weather modification. Hey, their people are starving , they can't grow crops, have no bees, no pollination without bees, but hey let's look at china and the good work they are doing, Brilliant. They are fucking with the world in extremely unethical ways for the betterment of china, not for the world, you. China will have you believe what it wants you to believe. No bald cab drivers allowed because china does not want the world to think chinese people go bald.

Well, that's because you are thinking about other things than just global warming and pollution. My reaction was solely about that.

Just because they are even bigger consumers (as a whole, I think, not if we go by individual consumption) than westerners doesn't mean they are not busy with investing in and developing alternative and cleaner energies. Is that not worthy pointing out in a topic like this?
Just because they don't agree with most or maybe even all international or just western proposals doesn't mean they're not doing anything on this subject either.

first off global warming is misnomer, what is taking place is drastic climate change.

There have been climate shifts throughout history, true, but the issue now is that the climate is changing faster than evolution can keep pace with.
The changes we see in the past took tens of thousands of years to change and allowed critters time to migrate and adapt.
It is happening at a rate never before recorded and a rate that if continued will see the extinction of lots of life, including humans.

We do have fairly accurate climate/atmosphere records going back a few million years as it is the atmospheric composition that in large part determines the temps.
The atmospheric records leave no other conclusion than that human activity over the last two centuries has altered the composition of the atmosphere.
Humans began to alter the atmosphere when we began to domesticate and breed animals on large scale.

at this point anyone who says it is a hoax is being blatantly ignorant, mind muddled with conspiracy theories or are simply not intelligent enough to comprehend the science.
hell, we altered the rotational speed of the planet within the last 60 years and shortened the length of a day, is it so hard to fathom that shit we do effects the planet in big ways?

I think climate change is likely so we should do what we can to stop c02 but we should stop acting like it is concrete fact when we clearly don't have enough info to say so for sure.
